Chapter 1810
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
Aurora halted for a moment, then asserted, âMaria, are you thinking straight? Every room in this house belongs to my brother. Who is she to have a room here?â
She pointed at the room as she spoke, âThrow her things out now.â
âWhere will Ms. Hall stay if you stay here?â
Aurora started to get impatient. âWhat do I care? Thatâs none of my business!â
Maria looked at her before shifting her gaze to Stella. âMs. Hall⦠Iâ¦â
Stella was surprisingly calm as she said flatly, âMaria, help me pack my things up. Iâll go out to make a call.â
âOkay,â Maria responded. Then, Stella went outside with her phone to call Keegan.
Keegan was en route to the meeting room when he noticed Stellaâs call. He paused and informed Aldor, âYou head in first. I need to take this call.â
Aldor acknowledged and proceeded ahead.Books Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updatesâ¦
Stepping aside to a quieter area, Keegan answered the call. Stellaâs voice emerged from the other end, âKeegan, did you invite Aurora to stay in your house?â
Keegan furrowed his brow. âIs Aurora at the house now?â Stella sounded surprised. âYou donât know?â
âShe didnât inform me. Why is she there?â
Stellaâs tone hardened. âHow would I know? She took my room. Where am I supposed to stay now?â
Keegan checked the time and replied, âFor now, stay in any room thatâs available. Iâm about to start a meeting. Weâll discuss it later.â
âAny room?â Stella asked calmly, âAny room will do, right?â
Aware that the meeting was imminent, Keegan agreed without much consideration, âYes, any room.
Weâll talk about this after the meeting.â
âOkay then,â Stella said.
Ending the call, she instructed the maid, âMove my belongings to the master bedroom.â
The maid looked surprised. âDid Mr. Kane approve of this?â
âYou can call him to confirm.â
The maid shut up and quickly helped Stella with her belongings.
Aurora stood at the door with her arms crossed, looking at Stella coldly. When Stella looked over, she slammed the door shut with a loud bang.
Stella looked away and wondered why Aurora come to stay there. âGrandma hasnât told me about this at all. Could it be Dahliaâs idea?
âWhat is she trying to do?â Stella was puzzled but became even more guarded against Aurora.
Their history was marred by conflict; Aurora had even faced legal consequences for a previous incident involving scalding water thrown at Stella.
Despite Aurora being aware of Stellaâs residence at the Royalpark Villa, her move to the house raised suspicions. Stella suspected Aurora had ulterior motives, likely connected to Dahliaâs involvement.
Throughout the entire day, Stella remained vigilant, anticipating Auroraâs next move. However, to her surprise, Aurora didnât make any overt attempts. She emerged only for meals when summoned by the maid, exchanged a few cutting remarks with Stella, then retreated to her room for the rest of the afternoon.
Stella remained baffled by Auroraâs lack of further action, considering if she was merely biding her time for the right moment.
This pattern persisted until evening, when Keegan arrived home.
Upon entering, he spotted Stella seated on the couch, peeling an apple, while the TV aired the latest popular drama featuring Leighton.
At the other end of the couch, Aurora sat, seemingly impassive, also engrossed in the TV. The ambiance seemed tranquil, yet an odd tension lingered in the air.
