Chapter 101
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Every time he brought this up, it hurt Rosalie. She didnât mean what she said back then. She loved
him to death, so how could she have had enough of him?
âIf you donât like me, why keep a grudge? You donât have to get jealous when Iâm with Cindy,â he
said.
âWhy arenât you happy when Iâm with Sebastian, then? If you think you can be with other women
just because I donât like you, then I should be able to do the same, right? Fine! Iâll go see Sebastian
now! And there are plenty of men on the streets I can find! Iâll look for one right now!â she retorted.
âRosalie!â Theodore suddenly grabbed her shoulder, his voice. somewhat angry, âDonât you dare
say such things again, got it?â
Staring at his angry face, Rosalie was somewhat surprised. Her heart pounded heavily in her chest,
but she quickly said defiantly, âWhy not? Youâre always like this, having double standards!â
âItâs not about double standards. Youâre a girl! Safety comes first. How can you go looking for
random men everywhere? What if something happens to you?â
âHuh, random men? Why would you say that?â Rosalie said sarcastically. âOf course Iâll find pretty
boys whoâll treat me nicely and let me boss them around. Iâm sure theyâll do whatever I say.â
âShut up!â Theodoreâs face turned dark and scary.
He swept Rosalie into his arms, strode to the bed, and put her down. Then, he wrapped her tightly
with the blanket and pressed down on her. Through the blanket, Rosalie could feel his hot breath.
âI wonât allow you to talk nonsense like this again. Pretty boys? Even if we divorce, you donât need
to degrade yourself like this!â
Theodore seemed genuinely angry. His fiery appearance startled Rosalie.
On second thought, why should she be scared of him? She had nothing to feel guilty about!
âYouâre so strange. Why is it that when I look for other men, itâs considered degrading? Donât you
want me to find someone else? Donât you have Cynthia?â
Theodore went silent. Suddenly, he didnât know how to respond.
No matter whom Rosalie found, even if it was Sebastian, he would
feel like she was degrading herself. He felt uncomfortable deep down. just thinking about it.
He thought about how, after their divorce, Rosalie would have plenty. of choices. Just the thought of
her being with Sebastian made him uneasy. Surely, there would be many others vying for her
attention.
A hint of annoyance washed over him. He got up, leaning against the headboard in resignation. He
was the one who proposed divorce, so what did it matter if she found someone else?
It was true. He was being hypocritical.
He wasnât sure what was happening to him. Maybe after knowing her for a decade, he truly
regarded her as a sister. So, he had a protective. big brother mentality, finding fault in every man.
It was more like a fatherly attitude than a brotherly one.
Rosalie sat up in bed. âSince you have nothing to say, next time, donât. be hypocritical. If you can
flirt with Cynthia, then I can also do it with other men. Unlessâ¦â
âUnless what?â Theodore turned to her, curious
âUnless you keep your distance from Cynthia At least until weâre divorced, weâre still technically
married. As long as thatâs the case, neither of us should get too close to the opposite sex
Rosalie was tired She didnât want to argue with Theodore about this anymore
Theodore fell silent and didnât answer her His face showed a hint of weariness as he undid a few
buttons on his shirt and asked, âWhy did you call me today?â
âNothing much I was just wondering why you came back last nightâ At one point, she thought it was
all a dream
