Chapter 112
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Rosalie wasnât even angry, she just found it amusing. Cynthia w** just too ridiculous it seemed
Theodore hadnât told her about stealing
the resident register
Stil it was strange. It was such a big deal, but Theodore hadnât mentioned it to Cynthia when it
condemned both of them.
âYouâre rightâ Rosalie said. He cares so much about you, but Iâm curious why he didnât tell you about
what was ploned todayâ
âI know about todayâs plans,â Cynthip replied âHe told me everythingâ
âOh, really? So, what did he say? Rosalie asked curiously
She just wanted to see how Cynthia would play the fool. If Cynthia truly knew, would she remain so
calm? Would she deliberately delay Theodore and prevent him from leaving her side?
âTheo said you guys are going back to have lunch with his
grandmother. Didnât you just accompany her a few days ago? Itâs not a big deal if he goes a bit
later, right?â
âOh, is that so? He only told you that we were having lunch with his grandmother, and nothing
else?
âWhat else could there be? You better not be up to something! Theo doesnât like manipulative
women.*
Cynthia spoke as if she were trying to catch a thief redâhanded.
Rosalie almost rolled her eyes. She couldnât be bothered to say more to Cynthia.
âFine. When Theo comes back, you tell him I said this. If he comes back too late, Iâll have lunch with
Grandma first. Once weâre done, Iâll
leave. I canât accompany Grandma while trying to get the resident register. If he doesnât come for it,
then so be it. We wonât divorce today. Bye.â
$25 BOUT
Just as Rosalie was about to hang up, Cynthia finally processed what
she said.
âWait a minute!â Cynthia almost roared on the other end. âWhat did you say?! Youâre going to get
the resident register? When was this decided? How come I didnât know?â
âWhy does it concern you? Shouldnât your darling be the one telling you? After all, itâs a big deal for
both of you. Doesnât he love you so much? I thought heâd have told you.â
Rosalieâs tone was sarcastic, and Cynthia didnât like it one bit. Her expression turned ugly.
âRosalie, youâre not playing some trick again, are you? Is it some kind of trap? If I ask Theo about
this, will he get mad at me?â
âI donât know about that. You figure it out yourself. Bye now.â Rosalie hung up without bothering to
listen to more of her nonsense.
Cynthiaâs mood remained unsettled for a long time. Theodore hadnât taken his phone, so she
couldnât reach him and could only wait for his
return.
Eventually, Theodore came back with lunch in hand.
âCindy, Iâve brought back lunch. Letâs eat,â he said.
âTheo, Rosalie called just now. I was worried she had something urgent, so I picked it up for you.
She told me something, but I think it might be a joke,â Cynthia said.
Theodore paused slightly as he arranged the food. Then, he
responded indifferently as though he already knew what it was about, âWhat did she say?â
âShe said you were going to your grandmotherâs today to get the resident register so you two could
process the divorce.â
Theodoreâs hand, busy with setting down the dishes, paused momentarily. He furrowed his brows
and then replied casually, âThatâs right.â
Cynthiaâs heart raced, âWhy didnât you tell me earlier?â
âSome things are better told once theyâre done. Otherwise, if something goes wrong, it will only
disappoint you. Itâs just like last time, with the divorce papers. They were signed and then torn
apart,â Theodore responded in a somewhat detached manner.
âTheo, are you saying we might not get the resident register today?â Cynthia asked urgently.
âI donât know,â Theodore replied nonchalantly. âUntil itâs done, no one knows the outcome.â
âThen why donât you hurry back? If youâre not there, she canât do it alone,â she urged.
