Chapter 152
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
âWhatâ¦?!â
Cynthia couldnât contain her anger.
âIf you donât care about him, thatâs even more reason you should divorce him! Whatâs the point of
dragging it out?â she yelled.
âWhether thereâs a point or not, Iâll decide,â Rosalie said, holding her composure as she looked at
Cynthia leisurely. She didnât believe
Cynthia could keep blocking her forever.
Seeing the smugness in the Rosalieâs eyes, Cynthia laughed.
âYouâre so pitiful. Your husband doesnât love you, and all you can do is argue back like a stubborn
mule. Does it have any real meaning? At most, itâs just a moral victory. In reality, Theoâs love is still
for me. Do you know the piano piece he plays? Itâs one he composed for me.â
Rosalie froze, and Cynthia continued, âHe said heâd play that piece for me at our wedding.
Unfortunately, he couldnât marry me. Still, he said heâd write new pieces for me in the future.â
At that, Rosalie felt her heart drop instantly.
She remembered back when Theo held her hand. He sat at the piano, and told her, âRose, this
piece is for you.â
His slender fingers danced on the black and white keys, playing a beautiful melody. She thought
that piece was exclusively for them as a couple, a gift from Theodore to her.
She never imagined it was actually written for Cynthia.
Maybe he played it for her because Cynthia wasnât around to longing.
Later, he refused to play it againâprobably because he was thinking. of Cynthia, and didnât want to
play it for another woman. Now that Cynthia was back, he could freely play that piece he originally
intended for her in public.
Rosalie realized she had nothingânot even a piano piece. Everything belonged to Cynthia.
It was truly laughable.
âDo you understand now? You have no place in Theoâs heart! Holding on to this marriage is just a
waste of your time. Anyway, Theo and I being together wonât be affected by your marriage to him.
Our
relationship is real, while yours with him is just on paper,â Cynthia went on, provoking her on
purpose.
Rosalie felt like even the little life inside her belly was weeping.
Just on paper, huh?
She and Theodore had a child together; but now, it seemed their relationship was nothing but a
hollow shell.
Perhaps due to overwhelming sadness, her stomach suddenly churned violently. She covered her
lips and rushed into one of the stalls in the restroom, leaning over the toilet to vomit.
Cynthia went to the restroom door, her face filled with tension.
Rosalie retched for quite some time. After flushing the toilet, she finally emerged from the restroom
and went to the sink to rinse her mouth.
âWhatâs wrong with you? Why were you throwing up?â Cynthia asked anxiously.
Rosalieâs complexion was somewhat pale. âAre you concerned about me?â
+25 BOARUS
âWhoâs concerned about you? Youâre not⦠Youâre not pregnant, are you?â
If this woman was pregnant, it would be disastrous!
Rosalie smirked. âAre you afraid I might be pregnant? Once I am, Theo will come back to me. You
wonât have him running around with you anymore, will you?â
Cynthia suddenly laughed. âYouâre dreaming! Even if youâre pregnant, Theo will just make you get
rid of the baby. Are you really pregnant?â
Rosalie flicked off the water from her hand, and turned to face Cynthia.
âNone of your business. Stop blocking my way. If I really am pregnant and I go tell Theo now, who
can guarantee what the consequences will be?â
She turned to leave.
âStop!â Cynthia grabbed Rosalieâs arm. âAre you really pregnant?â
