Chapter 201
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Yvonne brought Rosalie outside for some fresh air. After some walking, they sat on a bench.
âRose, I heard Sebastian say that youâre married?â
Rosalie nodded. âYes, I am.â
âYouâre pregnant, too.â
âYes, that too.â
Out of curiosity, Yvonne asked, âWhoâs your husband?â
The mention of her husband gave Rosalie a dull pain in her chest.
âWhatâs the matter? Do you feel unwell?â Yvonne asked.
Yvonne noticed how frail Rosalie looked, and hoped she wouldnât faint before her. She would be in
trouble when her brother woke up
and found out what happened.
âI⦠Iâm a little tired. I want to go back to my room and rest.â
âAll right, then.â
Yvonne suddenly found Rosalie rather dull and boring. It seemed Sebastian fancied dull and boring
women.
On the way back, Yvonne held Rosalieâs arm as she said, âYou havenât told me who your husband
is
You already have a baby with him. Why
wouldnât you tell me who he is?â
âHeâs just an ordinary man. Thereâs nothing interesting about him.â
âOh, is that so?â Yvonne said, not doubting her words.
One thing was for sure. The enthusiasm her brother exuded for
Rosalie hinted that they were more than just friends.
âDoes Sebastian know your husband?â
âThey donât know each other very well,â Rosalie replied.
They merely fought with each other.
âOh, I see. All right, then.â Yvonne didnât pursue the matter further.
After the two of them went back, Rosalie returned to her room alone to get some rest. She was still
feeling slightly dizzy from the fever last night.
Yvonne found staying home boring and stuffy, and headed out for some fun.
In the hospital, Cynthia had regained consciousness. However, she still felt very weak. However,
she was thankful to find Theodore right. by her side the moment she opened her eyes.
*Theo.*
âCindy, youâre awake.â
âTheo, I canât believe Iâm still alive. This is great. I thought I was dead.â
âYou wonât die. Iâll find you a suitable heart donor, no matter what it
takes.â
âWhat did you say?â Cynthia was stunned to hear him mention heart donor. âWhy are you looking
for a heart donor for me? Am Iâ¦?â
Theodore sighed, and held her hand. âThe doctor said you need at heart transplant. Iâll do
everything I can to find a suitable heart donor as soon as possible.â
Cynthia remained silent for a long while as tears streamed down her face.
23
âTheo, why do I have such a painful life? Having gone through a lung transplantation surgery, do I
now have to do a heart transplant
surgery too? What should I do?â she sobbed.
âDonât cry. You canât cry now.â
Theodore began regretting telling Cynthia about it. However, it concerned her own body. She had
the right to know about it.
âDonât worry. No matter how much it costs, Iâll find a heart donor for you. Youâll be fine.â
Cynthia shut her eyes in agony. âBut what ifâ¦you canât find one? I donât have much longer to live,
do I?â
âNo, weâll definitely find one,â Theodore said firmly.
âTheo, do you still remember? You told me that if I survived the operation, youâd marry me. I did
survive the operation, but my heart is failing. Will you still marry me?â
Theodore looked at her, so stunned that he was silenced for a long time.
âTheoâ¦â Cynthia said as she grabbed his hand in agitation. âAre you going back on your word? In
that case, donât bother finding me a heart donor. Just let me die!â
In this world, Theodore was her only lifeline. If she couldnât cling to him, she would rather die. She
was bent on marrying him, even at the expense of her own life.
