Chapter 208
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
âShe went back to her room to rest, and I felt bored alone at home. Of course I had to go out for
some fresh air! Iâve returned now, havenât 1?â Yvonne retorted, slightly upset.
Sebastian was always only fierce to her, and never to Rosalie.
Sebastian shook his head, feeling hopeless. The logic his sister displayed was almost nonâ
existent.
âDonât touch the food,â Sebastian warned before returning to the kitchen.
Yvonne put her bag down, and followed him. âSeb, whereâs Rose?â âSheâs in her room.â
âIâll go find her.â
âStand right there,â Sebastian called out to her solemnly. âDonât bother her.â
âWhatâs the matter? Is she made of glass, so fragile that sheâs untouchable?â
Sebastian was being overly protective of Rosalie. He shouldnât be treating his own wife like this, not
to mention another manâs wife.
âSomething happened, and sheâs very sad right now. Donât bother her,â Sebastian said.
Rosalle was probably feeling very emotional right now. Any careless word might just make her more
upset.
âWhat happened?â Yvonne asked, curious. âI was just out for a couple of hours. Did you do anything
to her?â
âWhat rubbish are you spouting?â Sebastian lifted his hand, poised to smack the back of her head
again.
Yvonne hugged her head in fright, and took a few steps back. âWhy would she be upset, then? The
more violent you are, the more it
proves that you have a guilty conscience!â
Though she was frightened, she remained resolutely headstrong in
her words.
Sebastian put down his hand, and said helplessly, âSheâs getting a divorce tomorrow.â
âA divorce?!â
Yvonne felt overwhelmed with all the information thrown at her since last night. Firstly, her brother
brought a woman home and let her stay overnight. As it turned out, she was married and pregnant
to boot.
Sebastian was protective and loving toward her, despite the child not being his. Had the child been
his, his behavior would be even more exaggerated.
And now, this woman was getting a divorce. If this woman was in a relationship with Sebastian, she
should be glad about the divorce. So, what exactly was going on?
It seemed this was a case of unrequited love for Sebastian. Rose, on the other hand, seemed to still
be in love with that bastard of her husband.
Truly, good girls love bad boys.
At the pained look on her face, Sebastian could guess what was going on in Yvonneâs mind.
âDonât let your imagination run wild. Things arenât what you think
are.â
âSo, what is it?â
Sebastian was still preparing the soup, which needed some time. He turned to look outside the
door. When he confirmed that no one was there, he whispered in hushed tones, âHer husband is
nasty to her, and now wants a divorce because of another woman. He doesnât even know that sheâs
pregnant. Do you understand now?â
âHuh?!â Yvonne was gobsmacked. âMy god, thatâs terrible for her! Whoâs her husband?â
âYou donât need to know that,â Sebastian said coldly. âI told you all that so youâll know why you
shouldnât bother her. Sheâs different from your simpleâminded friends. Watch your words when you
talk to her.â âYou have to at least tell me who her husband is. She refused to tell me, and you donât
want to tell me either. Is her husband someone shady?â Yvonne persisted.
Hearing Yvonne say that Rosalie refused to tell her made Sebastian even more adamant about not
revealing anything.
âThereâs nothing to say. Heâs just a bastard. Youâll only have the name of a bastard in your mind
after I tell you. Thereâs no point in that.â
âWhat waterâtight reasoning you have.â The more they refused to tell Yvonne, the more she was
curious about who Rosalieâs husband was. Yet, no matter how hard she tried, she simply couldnât
pry the
information from their mouths.
