Chapter 22
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Sebastian seemed to have guessed something after observing the scene before him, but he didnât
say anything.
Rosalie struggled forcefully to break free from Theodoreâs embrace, feeling anxious under the
scrutiny of so many eyes. She ignored her husbandâs grim expression, her concerned gaze falling
on Sebastian.
âMr. Carter, Iâm so sorry. Would you like to go to the hospital?â she asked,
âIâm fine.â Sebastian replied, his brow furrowed as he clutched his chest, clearly in pain.
Just as Rosalie was about to approach to check on him, Theodore grabbed her wrist and forcefully
pulled her back, his face terrifyingly cold.
âLet go of me!â Rosalie tried to break free from his grip, but the man. was incredibly strong.
Theodore wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his embrace. His hostilityâfilled
gaze was directed at Sebastian. As he kept his hold on Rosalie, he pulled a check out of his pocket
and stuffed it into the other manâs suit pocket.
Theodoreâs voice was tinged with provocation as he said, âThank you. for saving my wife. That
should cover your medical expenses.â
With that, he held Rosalie close and left.
The whole place erupted in a commotion wife! What was going on?!
Rosalie was Theodoreâs
âWhat are you doing? Let go of me! Rosalie said in a low voice. She didnât want to escalate the
situation, but was clearly resisting the way
her husband was holding her.
Sensing Rosalieâs reluctance to leave with Theodore, Sebastian. moved to intervene, calling out,
âMs. Young!â
Theodore turned his head and glared at Sebastian. âItâs Mrs. Spencer!â
As if asserting his superiority, he swept Rosalie off her feet and strode away. The atmosphere
turned dominantly aggressive as they passed through the crowd, who involuntarily made way for
the couple, watching as they departed.
After leaving the venue, Rosalie struggled desperately, her mortarboard long gone.
âPut me down!â
Theodore completely ignored her struggles, his face cold as he lifted. her into the car and slammed
the door shut.
âYouâve gone too far!â
This was the first time in ten years that Rosalie had lost her temper with him, and it was all because
of another man.
âMe? Too far?â Theodore suddenly turned, gripping her shoulders tightly, his large hands exerting
pressure.
âAnd what about you? Youâve been deceiving me from the start. Clearly, you donât like finance, yet
you pretended to be so passionate about it. Youâre such a good actress. Why didnât you go to drama
school?â
Rosalieâs vision blurred as she recalled the time before she started university. Five years older than
her, Theodore had already earned his PhD at a young age due to his exceptional abilities.
Back then, Theodore was already the CEO of SK Enterprise, while she
was still preparing for university entrance exams.
âTheo
The office door was ajar, and as Rosalie walked in, she saw Theodore talking to Cynthia. Their
heads were close together as they discussed
some documents. Seeing Rosalie enter, Theodore put down the
papers in his hand.
âRose, what brings you here?â
When Cynthia noticed Rosalieâs presence, she closed the file and
spoke professionally, âMr. Spencer, if thereâs nothing else, Iâll head down first.â
Theodore responded with a nod.
Rosalie sensed Cynthia assessing her as she passed by, a hint of disdain flashing in her eyes.
Sometimes, a person could tell when someoneâs gaze was off. However, if they didnât have any
evidence, they had to keep it to themselves. Otherwise, others would just say the person was
overthinking things.
âTheo, who was that?â Rosalie asked.
âThat was Cynthia, a senior intern from Aurora University,â Theodore replied.
âAurora?â Rosalie repeated. âIsnât that where you studied before? So, sheâs your junior?â
So, because she was interning at his company, Theodore had assigned her to his offic
