Chapter 28
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Rosale thought Sebastian would ask her questions. Considering the awkward and complex situation
they had just experienced, anyone would be curious. But Sebastian remained silent, sitting beside
her without uttering a word. Rosalie didnât want to answer such questions either, so his silence was
appreciated.
After a long silence, Rosalie spoke first, âMr. Carter, I didnât know you were the major shareholder of
Ashwick University.â
Sebastian hummed softly. âSkycrest Enterprise has invested in many schools.â
Skycrest Enterprise?â Rosalie was taken aback by his reply. âYouâre Skycrest Enterpriseâsâ¦?â
Sebastian extended his hand and smiled. âLet me reintroduce myself. Iâm Sebastian Carter,
Skycrest Enterpriseâs CEO.â
It was only then that Rosalie realized how deeply Sebastian had concealed his identity.
Skycrest Enterprise was a major conglomerate, coveted by countless individuals who sought the
best benefits. Like SK Enterprise, it was a multinational corporation with substantial financial
resources. Some of the two companiesâ businesses were even direct competitors.
Rosalie reached out and shook his hand. âNice to meet you. Iâm Rosalie Young.â
After the handshake, they withdrew their hands.
âThen, Iâll call you Mrs. Spencer from now on.â
âNo, I wonât be Mrs. Spencer for long.â

Theodore was nowhere in sight. Rosalie wondered if he and Cynthia had gone back. Thinking about
their previous interactions, she realized that if Cynthia wanted the stars in the sky. Theodore would

Seeing Rosalieâs troubled expression, Sebastian seemed to understand something, but he didnât
say anything.
Rosalie spent about two hours at the hospital with Sebastian, talking. about many things. She was
surprised to find that he was similar to her in many ways â even their values aligned.
Time flew by as she had fun chatting with Sebastian, and she almost. forgot the time until her phone
rang.
Seeing Theodoreâs name on the caller ID, she answered, âHello.â
âCome home. I need to talk to yo
you.
âWhatâs the matter? You can tell me over the phone, right?â
âAre you planning to spend the night with that man?â asked Theodore in a tone that was dark and
uncomfortable to listen to.
Rosalie glanced at Sebastian and realized she shouldnât stay with him. for too long.
âFine, Iâll come back.â
Theodore probably wanted her to sign the divorce papers. The sooner she did it, the better.
After ending the call, Rosalie put her phone back in her bag and said, â Mr. Carter, itâs getting late.
Iâll be leaving now. Is there anything else.
you need me to do?
Iâm fine. You should head home,â Sebastian replied.
Tl come to see you tomorrow.â
Iâll be discharged early tomorrow morning. If we get the chance, letâs have a meal together. Your
treat.â
âSure.â
Rosalie was extremely grateful toward Sebastian. She felt that simply accompanying him for a walk
wasnât enough to repay him. After exchanging a few more words, Rosalie left the hospital room. Not
long after she left, Sebastian picked up his phone and dialed a number.
âBring the car. Iâm going back.â
Since Rosalie had left, he didnât want to stay in the hospital any longer.
When Rosalie returned home, she expected Theodore to be there waiting for her since he had
asked her to come back. To her surprise, he wasnât home.
She asked the butler, who informed her that Theodore hadnât
returned. He had called and asked her to return home, yet he wasnât there himself. Feeling a
mixture of anger and amusement, Rosalie called him.
He answered after a short while, âHello.â
âDidnât you say you wanted to talk to me? Why arenât you home?â
âThereâs been a small unexpected situation. Iâll be back a bit later.â
âUnexpected situation? Is it related to Ms. Zeller again?â
âYeah.â
Theodore didnât hide anything. It seemed like something natural for him. Rosalie felt both annoyed
and amused.
âFine, whatever!â
As she hung up, she felt so angry that she wanted to throw away her phone.
