Chapter 331
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
âIf youâre going to involve someone unrelated to this, Dad, then I wonât stand for it!â Sebastian said
firmly, anger lacing his voice.
In response, Geoffrey gave him a hard slap.
Sebastianâs head spun sideways. He pressed his tongue against his cheek, and snorted.
âYou always blame Mom for everything. You kept saying sheâs dragging you down. After that, she
stayed at home and didnât interfere in anything because she was afraid of troubling you. Even then,
you still look down on her. Iâm really curious, Dad. Must it always be other peopleâs fault? Arenât you
going to take any responsibility?â
Smack! Geoffrey gave him another harsh slap.
âYouâve lost the project, but youâre still arguing with me! Phillip, bring me the stick!â Geoffrey
snarled.
He had always been strict, and was a staunch believer of the old saying: spare the rod, spoil the
child. Following this, Sebastian received many beatings ever since he was a child:
As Sebastian got older, Geoffrey rarely laid a hand on him, let alone take out the stick.
The butler hesitated, but didnât dare to disobey. Turning around, he soon returned with a long and
thin wooden stick. It looked old, but was flexible and resilient. If it struck someone naked, his or her
skin would surely break.
Geoffrey took the stick, tapping it lightly in his palm.
âSebastian, Iâll give you one last chance. Tell me, which woman has blinded you?â
Sebastian knelt down on his own, and said calmly, âThere is no woman. I take all the
responsibility.â
It had nothing to do with Rosalie; it was all his own choices.
The fact that he had neglected his work was undeniable. As the one reigning at the top, if he
slacked off, those below would surely follow suit. Even if his father punished him, he deserved it.
Thus, he
accepted it all.
âGood.â Geoffrey nodded angrily and let out a cold laugh. He turned to Phillip and said, âHave Dr.
Zabel prepare to come over.â
Phillip quickly took out his phone to call Dr. Zabel.
Geoffrey was serious this time. Phillip was worried about Sebastian.
Geoffrey gripped the stick tightly, raising his hand but not immediately bringing it down, He studied
Sebastianâs reaction.
The stubborn Sebastian didnât react at all, and was just waiting for the stick to land on him.
Geoffrey gritted his teeth. He was about to hit Sebastian, when a sharp voice suddenly came from
outside the door.
âStop!â
Rosalie rushed in, followed by Yvonne.
As soon as the two young women entered the hall, they saw Sebastian kneeling on the ground and
Geoffrey raising the stick, ready to hit him.
That stick looked terrifying.
Sebastian, hearing Rosalieâs voice, turned around in utter shock. âWhy are you here?!â
Seeing Yvonne behind Rosalie, he immediately understood the
situation. He frowned and glared at Yvonne, as if blaming her for bringing Rosalie her.
Seeing Sebastianâs expression, Yvonne frowned slightly. She was upset. All she wanted was for his
future wife to care about him. Her brother didnât appreciate her good intentions at all!
Geoffrey lowered his hand, his gaze falling on Rosalie. After he looked her up and down, he had a
realization. âSo itâs you! You have the nerve to come here.â
Yvonne mustered up the courage to speak. âDad⦠Her nameâs Rosalie, and sheâs a good friend of
mine and Sebâs.â
Although Yvonne was very scared, she still stood in front of Rosalie. After all, she was her fatherâs
daughter.
âIs that so? Good friend?â Geoffrey turned to glance at Sebastian. âIs this Rosalie girl your good
friend?â
