Chapter 343
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
There was a trace of melancholy and sadness in her absentâminded eyes as she clenched the
bedsheet tightly. There was also a slight redness at the corners of her eyes.
Seeing Rosalieâs expression, Sebastian had a hunch as to why she was distracted. He lowered his
eyes; after a faint dimness flashed in them, he raised his head again, but this time with a smile.
âAlright.â Sebastian stood up and reached out to her. âCome on.â
Rosalie snapped out of her daze and lifted her head to look at him, puzzled. âWhat for?â
âIâll support you. What if you fall?â
He spoke naturally, as if he was just talking to a good friend. It was informal and free of any other
meaning.
âOh.â Rosalie reacted, and realized that she had involuntarily thought of Theodore again.
She felt annoyed with herself. She tried to banish the words Theodore Spencerâ from her mind, and
gave Sebastian her hand.
Sebastian helped Rosalie up from the bed, after which he held her arm and led her out of the ward.
When the two came out of the obstetrics and gynecology department, a sharp gaze fell straight on
them.
Sebastian and Rosalie were standing very close together. Outsiders would think they were a
couple.
That person only looked away after Sebastian and Rosalie turned a corner and disappeared.
In the ward.
Cynthia couldnât go anywhere, and could only stay in the hospital.
Although Theodore had arranged for someone to take care of her, what she wanted was only him.
She hoped he would come to see her every day, but these days, for some reason, he always made
excuses
not to come.
He finally visited her the other day, but he had spent his time lecturing her. Ever since then, she
hadnât heard from him.
The door of the ward opened, and a figure in black walked in. It was the same man as last time. He
was dressed in black and covered
head to toe once again, save for his eyes, which held a sharp gaze,
âMiss Zeller, we meet again.â
He had contacted Cynthia before he came. She had dismissed all her
caretakers so that she could meet him in secret.
She didnât know who this man was, but as long as there was a glimmer of hope, she wouldnât give
up.
As for Theodore, she couldnât count on him anymore. He would only tell her to be patient, but when
would it be her turn? She didnât want to
wait in line. She wanted to cut the line!
Even so, Cynthia was still wary of this man.
âIâll get straight to the point. I know youâre not a good person. Youâre just using me. You want me to
help you with something,â she said:
âThatâs right,â the man replied. âIâm not a good person. Iâm here to find you, because I know youâre
not a good person either.â
Cynthia gritted her teeth. âCan you really find a suitable heart for me?
Donât lie to me!â
âThereâs no benefit in lying to you.â The man put his hands in his pockets and raised his head. âIn
fact, saving you will be beneficial to me.â
âWhy would saving me be beneficial to you? If weâre going to
cooperate, I need to trust youâ¦â
This man knew everything about her, but she knew nothing about him.
The man chuckled. âYouâre sick. Has any of your family members visited you up till now?â
Cynthiaâs face stiffened.
âYour father and your sister, do they care about you? Your position in that family is even lower than
that of a servant. At least if a servant falls ill, they might still show some concern.â

Cynthia clenched the bedsheet. âWhy are you telling me this?â
