Chapter 909
A Life Debt Repaid
Sean carefully applied the medicine to Patrickâs face for a while, and the doctor breathed a sigh of relief when Sean was finished.
However, just as the doctor was about to pack his medical briefcase and leave, Patrick stopped him.
âWait.â
âWere you hurt elsewhere?â The doctor asked.
âNo,â Patrick was suddenly grinning evilly. âSeanâs nose is swollen. I can help him with it too.â
As Sean stared at him, he shrugged. âJust returning a favor.â
With that, he took out the disinfectant and the antiinflammatory medicine from the doctorâs briefcase and started to shove it up Seanâs nose.
It stung Sean, but he gritted his teeth and didnât make a sound, knowing that Patrick was just getting back at him.
Patrick frowned.
He wasnât being gentle at all, but Sean wasnât fighting back?
As such, he went even harder, and Seanâs nose reddened further when it wasnât before.
However, Sean never once made a sound; Patrick actually wondered if the former had issues with his senses. âDoesnât it hurt?â
âIâm not a kid, unlike you.â
Patrick scowled, speechless.
âAre you done?â Sean asked him.
Patrick said nothing, so Sean turned towards the doctor. âYou may go now.â
âYes, sir.â
The doctor quickly packed up and left; he wondered if Patrick really didnât hurt Sean, since it already hurt to look.
âGo to my room, Patrick. I need to talk to Cordy alone,â Sean told Patrick.
âWhat canât I know? Weâre going to be family eventually, since Iâm marrying Cordy soon enough,â
Patrick snapped, a little uncomfortable about being suddenly left out.
âThen we shall wait until eventually comes.â
âAre you belittling me?â Patrick was a little frustrated. âYou think I canât win her heart?â
âI never said anything.
âF*ck,â Patrick cursed-Sean may well have said yes.
Still, he left since there was no arguing that point.
After all, he kept running into roadblocks on the way to Cordyâs heart.
After Patrick left, Cordy asked bluntly, âYouâre letting him rest, arenât you?â
There was a flash of surprise in Seanâs eyes as he turned towards her, as he was surprised that Cordy saw through him immediately.
Still, it wasnât surprising Cordy could guess it, since Sean never went out of his way to hide anything from Patrick before.
