“Alright, Rose, recite it for me,” Emmanuel said, tapping his fingers casually on

the chair.

Roselynn began to recite the Dragon Tome, but halfway through, Emmanuel suddenly stopped her. “Rose, I can’t remember all of this just from hearing it. How about you write it down for me later when you get the chance?”

“Sure,” Roselynn nodded in agreement. “Manny, what do you think–do you

believe this technique is real?”

“It should be,” Emmanuel replied thoughtfully. “Let me test the first part to

confirm.”

“Okay.” Roselynn nodded, her face lighting up with excitement. Julian, too,

was eager–what man doesn’t dream of mastering martial arts?

Without warning, Emmanuel threw a punch into the air. The force of it

shattered a vase across the office into pieces.

Emmanuel smiled and explained, “Julian, this isn’t some ordinary air–punch

technique–it’s the power of the Dragon Tome! If fully mastered, my internal

strength could be several times stronger than it is now. It’s almost invincible!”

Julian was ecstatic. “If even you say it’s unbeatable, then it truly must be. Roselynn, you better write it down quickly for Emmanuel. Once he’s invincible

no one will dare lay a finger on you ever again!”

“Absolutely!” Roselynn was just as excited, her eyes sparkling with

anticipation.

Emmanuel glanced at his watch and said, “I’ve got to run, Rose,” Emmanuel

said, checking his watch. “I’ve got other important things to take care of. I’ll

send someone to protect you. If there’s an emergency, contact me

immediately. I’ll send you my new private number.”

“Got it! If Gwain Lannister dares to cause trouble again, we’ll settle both old

and new scores with him!” Roselynn replied, her voice filled with resentment.

Emmanuel nodded, then quickly left the office. Roselynn and Julian followed

him out as well.

Unbeknownst to them, Gautier had discreetly ordered the surveillance tapes

of their entire conversation to be recorded.

“So, it’s the real Dragon Tome…” Gautier muttered to himself. “Looks like I’ve

got even more leverage to manipulate Gwain Lannister now.”

On the other side of town, Gwain Lannister had been on edge ever since

returning to Zovince. Failing to recover the Dragon Tome had left the elders of

the family disappointed in him.

Of course, the full extent of his failure was not yet known. The elders didn’t realize that Gwain had been repeatedly defeated in martial contests by Santiago and Yorick and that he had later avoided a one–on–one fight with Emmanuel. idea how to face him. Before entering seclusion, his father had made Gwain

apparent to the Lannister family. Now, with his failure, the other family

away.

Gwain deliberately took his time, strolling out only after making Gautier wait

for a while. Meanwhile, Gautier remained calm, casually sipping his tea in the
