After the debate and speeches concluded, Ethan needed to return to the

Redstone Chamber, a highly secure government building to continue

handling national affairs.

The Redstone Chamber was the most secure place in Changea, and once

Emmanuel safely escorted Ethan back, he could enjoy a day or two of rest.

“Mr. Wolf, would you mind sitting with me?” Ethan asked as they prepared to

leave.

Emmanuel was slightly surprised by the request but agreed nonetheless.

Chester, however, wasn’t pleased. It was becoming increasingly clear that

Ethan valued Emmanuel more with each passing day while Chester himself

Mr. Wolf, my situation isn’t looking good. I might not be able to take the

well–versed in navigating political storms. “I’m not being pessimistic, just

making an early prediction so I can prepare the necessary plans.”

Emmanuel nodded, then asked, “So, Mr. Hale, why did you ask me to join you

“Mr. Wolf, I need your help,” Ethan said directly, not one for unnecessary

nationwide. Typically, if a candidate gains the support of two of these

families, victory is nearly guaranteed.”

Emmanuel nodded silently, already familiar with this aspect of the political

landscape.

follows financial interests. People want benefits, and money is the grease

“I know her?” Emmanuel was even more puzzled. Who could this woman be?

was a beauty or not,” Blake snapped, frustration clear in his voice.
