However, Mackenzie remained uneasy.

The Five Poison Sect came and went freely, evading even Eve’s reconnaissance drones. Their ability to withdraw and vanish in the vast snowy mountains raised significant concerns. They couldn’t afford to let their guard down for even a moment.

She needed to discuss strategies with Magnus.

“Mrs. Lowe, I’ve studied the geographical features of the Serpent Lair, and continuous mountains and dense forests surround it. The Five Poison Sect’s main base is likely in this area.

“The cult has operated here for over a century. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if they’ve built numerous traps and secret passages. Their sudden retreat and concealment suggest they have plenty of pre–prepared hideouts.

“They’re definitely still nearby, waiting for an opportunity to counterattack!”

Magnus‘ analysis perfectly matched Mackenzie’s concerns. Yet, one thing still puzzled her. “Why did they suddenly retreat and hide? What are they planning?”

Magnus confidently grinned and replied, “To kill! They’ve realized they can’t win in a large–scale confrontation, so they’ll resort to guerrilla warfare and underground tactics. However, they do hold a few advantages over us.”

“Quick, tell me!” Mackenzie knew Magnus‘ penchant for suspense, so she urged him impatiently.

Surprisingly, Magnus didn’t delay this time. With a smirk, he explained, “First, they have the advantage of the terrain. So, they’ll heavily rely on the geography and environment to fight us.

“Second, they have several powerful leaders, including the mysterious Saint Queen. Their top–tier combatants outnumber ours. I’d adopt a strategy of targeting key figures–assassinating two specific individuals if I were them.”

Mackenzie was briefly stunned.

Magnus didn’t specify the two targets as usual but chuckled and added, “I’ve already gone into hiding. So don’t panic if I occasionally lose contact. Mrs. Lowe, you’d better employ strategies or even a clever decoy tactic. Figure out the details on your own.”

Being a sharp woman, Mackenzie immediately understood his meaning.

Still, the twists and turns of this war had truly exceeded her expectations.

“Mrs. Lowe, the key now is to capture the Serpent Lair. Establishing a foothold there will significantly improve our situation!”

Ignoring him, Aora crept to the mountaintop and spotted a temporary camp. Immediately, he ducked into hiding.

Over a dozen armed Wolf Warrior soldiers stood around the tent. These weren’t elites but soldiers from the Dark Night Islands unit, with notable martial skills!

Aora, according to our intel, Magnus and his group of women should be in that tent. Let’s eliminate the guards and capture everyone inside!”
