“Your Holiness, our warriors are still searching. I will report it to you immediately as soon as we have news!” Anna said again.

Mackenzie replied firmly, “No, I need to see for myself also need to assess the battlefield situation and check on the innocent civilians there!”

Anna looked to Rhett, hoping he could dissuade her.

“Anna, I order you to rescue every innocent survivor here who isn’t part of the Five Poison Sect!” Mackenzie suddenly commanded.

“Rhett, come with me to the Serpent Altar. We must find Quintus and Solana and not let anything happen to them!” Mackenzie instructed.

“Okay!” Rhett readily agreed.

After two nights of recovery, his injuries and poisoning from the fight with Aora and the Toad King were nearly healed.

Meanwhile, Anna stayed behind with some soldiers to assist the injured, while Rhett and Mackenzie made their way to the Serpent Altar.

Outside the altar, the signs of battle were unmistakable.

“These large craters were caused by Quintus, and the damaged stone walls must have been smashed by his fists!” Rhett analyzed the battlefield from the remains.

“The burn marks on the stone walls are Solana’s doing. There are no fire traces outside, likely because of the heavy snowfall.”

Rhett continued his analysis, carefully surveying the surroundings. He crouched down to examine some bloodstains and remnants of snake scales scattered on the ground.

“Your Holiness, the blood here is mostly serpent, with very little human blood. This suggests no one died outside.”

Hearing his analysis, Mackenzie deduced that Quintus and Solana must be inside the Serpent Altar.

After inspecting the area, Anna added, “Your Holiness, Solana is a tactical fighter. Knowing the snowstorm would suppress her flames, she would’ve lured the battle inside the altar. Most likely, it’s a two–on–two fight!”

“Let’s go inside!” Mackenzie decided without hesitation. She suspected the battle between Quintus, Solana, and the Serpent King was still ongoing.

All she could do now was pray for their safety and hope it wasn’t too late.

Just then, a flash of red streaked into their tent.

“Who is it?” The couple jumped in alarm.

Their camp lacked any real defense, and a top–tier assassin could easily have killed them on the spot.

The intruder quickly covered their mouths, signaling for silence.

Seeing who it was, Ken removed their hand and frowned. “Envoy Aora, it’s you!”

Aora spoke, skipping the pleasantries. “Yes, the queen of the Five Poison Sect sent me to find you. She said only you can help us turn the tide of this war!”

Ken and Lenore shuddered at the statement.
