Chapter 2322 Strongest VS Strongest

The warship trembled, its hull groaning under the assault. Gunfire rang out, mixing with the deafening noise of the chaos around them.
Santiago quickly analyzed the situation, making up his mind in an instant. He motioned to his subordinate. âGet the fleet moving toward Chanaca. And prepare a small boat!â
The subordinate hesitated, confusion flickering across his face, but he obeyed without question.
Santiago strode to a nearby compartment. The sight before him was lay sprawled on the floor, their weapons no match for their attackers.
A figure stood in the midst of the chaos.
grim. Several Northern Region soldiers
An elderly man, paleâhaired and full of energy, his presence as commanding as Santiagoâs.
âItâs you,â Santiago muttered, his voice a mix of recognition and something harder to place.
âOf course, itâs me,â the old man replied, a calm smile on his lips.
âLong time no see, Santiago. Youâre aging well. Still guarding the borders at sixty, huh? Not like those fame- chasing singers.â
âDonât act like youâre not the reason Iâm still here,â Santiago shot back. âIf it werenât for you and your kind stirring up trouble, my successor wouldâve already taken over.â
Santiago stretched his back, his old joints creaking. âHavenât moved like this in years. Guess the new year means I canât escape a real workout. Letâs see if these old bones still have it.â
âYour successor?â The old man laughed, a low, mocking sound.
âYou sure know how to pick them. Thatâs a quintupleâS class Legendâs bloodline, right?â
âOf course,â Santiago grinned.
âYou think Iâd just pick anyone? Youâre not the only one still going strong, Helios. Youâre my age, and here you are, trying to go toeâtoâtoe with me for Airspace Groupâs interests. Looks like youâve got the bigger gamble.â
At the sound of his name, Heliosâ expression softened, just for a moment.
âItâs the final showdown,â Helios SheffieldâGrey said, his voice steady, but the fire in his eyes told a different
story.
Before Santiago could respond, Heliosâ fist shot forward with terrifying speed.
The punch didnât come for Santiago.
Instead, it unleashed a wave of flames straight at the door, targeting the Northern Region soldiers who were charging in to help.

The fire engulfed the compartment, turning it into an inferno.
âStay back!â Santiago shouted, his back still turned to his men.
âThis enemy isnât something you can handle. Get the fleet back to Chanaca. Support Zovince!â
âYes, Commander Adkins!â
A group of subordinates quickly responded, their voices still shaky from the close call.
If Santiago hadnât intervened to block that inferno, they wouldâve been dead by now.
This battle was beyond them. They could only rely on their military spirit to see them through.

âSantiago, looks like you havenât been resting on your laurels all these years! No wonder youâre the one everyone thinks might catch up to Lucian!â
âDecades as the Northern Regionâs commander and one of Chanaeaâs pillars of stability⦠very impressive portfolio!â
Heliosâ words were genuine, admiration lacing his tone.
His earlier strike had reached tripleâS class power, and it was a fusion between mystical power and cutting- edge technology, but Santiago had simply used his energy force to dissipate it. It was chilling.
âHa! Helios, donât think you can lull me with flattery!â
Santiago chuckled. âYouâre the Warlord with the highest martial arts in the Holy Trinity, blending highâtech with the Lannister familyâs tactics. Youâre probably one of the closest to Lucian in terms of power!â
âNot quite,â Helios waved it off.
âFive of me might stand a chance against someone like Lucian, but just one? No way.â
Santiagoâs smile faded, his expression sharpening.
âSo, Helios, youâre here to kill me?â
âYes,â Helios answered, his voice steady.
âChanaea needs a change of leadership. Iâll admit, Artemis has been pivotal to Chanaeaâs rise. Their defensive strategy worked for a time, but now? Itâs outdated. The time for new leadership is here.â
Santiagoâs eyes narrowed.
âAnd who do you think should lead?â
âMason, obviously.â
Helios spoke plainly, his tone unwavering. âMy brother was loyal to both Yorick and Mason. He helped build Masonâs rise, just like he did with me and the Holy Trinity. Masonâs loyalty to the SheffieldâGrey family is unquestionable. If he becomes president, itâll mean our family finally controls Chanaea.â

âExactly,â Helios said, his tone firm.

âItâs been that way for centuries, and itâll stay the same for the next five thousand years. Human desire never fades.â
âTrue enough,â Santiago replied, a grin tugging at his lips. He didnât argue.
âLooks like things arenât so united in the Holy Trinity. Each of youâs got your own agenda.â
âThatâs right,â Helios confirmed.
âThe Holy Trinity is made up of three separate organizations. We joined forces because we all wanted the same thingâdestroy Artemis and seize power. But inside, thereâs still plenty of difference. Doesnât change the fact that we work together.â
âI see,â Santiago nodded slowly, his smile fading.
âLooks like me standing in your way means Iâm a dead man walking.â
âYep,â Helios agreed, his expression unreadable.
âEven though I know itâs gonna be a tough fight for us.â
âFine,â Santiago said, his voice calm.
âLetâs change the scenery. Follow me.â
The warship was already on its way back to Chanaea, and Santiago knew a topâtier Sageâlevel opponent was no easy match. Regular soldiers stood no chance in a fight like this.
He didnât want his men to die needlessly, and he certainly didnât want to see his shipâthe pride of the fleet -get destroyed.
The moment the Warlord boarded, Santiago knew a oneâonâone duel couldnât be avoided.
Helios seemed to understand this too, following Santiago to the deck. The two of them jumped into a small boat, ready for whatever came next.
âCommander Adkins!â
Murdock Carbuncle, a naval officer from Northern Region, shouted across the deck when he saw Santiagoâs risky move.
âIâll help you take him down!â
âStay back!â Santiago ordered, raising his hand to stop him.
Santiago didnât underestimate Murdock. As the strongest martial artist in the Northern Regionâs naval division, Murdock held an S+ rank.
In any martial arts tournament across Chanaea, he wouldâve been a Grandmaster contender. But against a topâSage level opponent like Helios, Murdock wouldnât last a single exchange.

Emmanuel to defend Zovince. Chanacaâs order must be preserved.â
âMurdock, do you hear me?â Santiagoâs voice was firm, leaving no room for argument.
âThis is an order.â
There was unspoken sorrow and bitter resolve in his voice.

Airspace Group was monstrously powerful, and with their Warlord in the fray, Santiago must plan for the
worst.
âYes, Commander Adkins!â Murdock saluted, frustration clear in his eyes. He turned to his subordinates.
âScan the surrounding seas. Clear any potential threats for Commander Adkins before we leave.â
âUnderstood!â
The radar hummed to life, but no other large warships were detected. The Shoiya fleet had already gone.
Helios stood at the front of the small boat, his crimson and black robe swirling in the wind. His stance was confident, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
âItâs been thirty years since Iâve had a worthy opponent. Donât let me down, Santiago!â
