Chapter 396
My Ex-Wife and Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball
Chapter 396 Hiding Something From Me âSir?â
Seeing his master and Rosalie coming over together, Luther subconsciously thought that Rosalie would be getting into their car. Unexpectedly, he saw her follow Andrius into his car instead while his master remained standing outside.
After waiting for a moment, Luther cautiously urged.
Byron frowned before bowing down and getting into the car.
Luther slowly started the car and drove out of the parking lot.
Meanwhile, in the car next door.
Andrius asked Rosalie for her address and then instructed the driver to send Rosalie back first.
The driver complied.
When he tried starting the car, it would not come alive even after a long time.
The result was the same even after several attempts. The driver said helplessly, âPresident Quirke, the car seems to be malfunctioning.â
Hearing this, Andrius glanced at Rosalie beside him imperceptibly. Her expression was slightly constrained. âIt was fine when we came, why did it suddenly break down now?â
The driver looked embarrassed. âThis⦠This car hasnât been driven around very much recently, and I didnât bring it to get serviced. Iâm not sure whatâs the problem either. Why donât you wait here? Iâll head back and pick you up with another car.â
Andrius turned and sought Rosalie for her opinion.
Rosalie also did not expect such an incident to happen. Hearing that the driver would have to go through so much trouble, she hesitated for a moment before suggesting, âMy car is nearby, you can use my car.â
She would have to come over to get the car tomorrow either way, it would be the same as going to the Quirk household.
Hearing this, Andriusâs expression went slightly stiff. He could not help but feel a headache brewing.
He forgot that Rosalie herself here today. 1 If they really were to switch to her car, their arrangement tonight would be wasted.
The driver in the front was put on the spot. He looked at Andrius and waited for his instructions.
Byron frowned and said sternly, âThereâs no need for things to be so troublesome. Byron must not have gone far; weâll just have him give US a ride for a part of the journey.â
Hearing this, Rosalie frowned slightly, face filled with resistance, she was about to refuse but Andrius had already made the call.
The call quickly connected on the other end.
Rosalie could only swallow back her refusal.
âWhatâs the matter?â Byronâs magnetic voice sounded in the car.
Andrius replied, âByron, where are you? My car seems to have broken down, if youâve not gone too far, could you come back and give US a ride?â
On the other side, Luther heard this and without waiting for his masterâs instruction, he consciously slowed down before looking up at his masterâs expression.
Byron gave him a slight nod.
Luther immediately complied and turned the car around toward the parking lot.
âCome out then, Iâll meet you at the entrance of the parking lot,â answered Byron.
Andrius complied with a smile.
After hanging up the call, Andrius looked at Rosalie nonchalantly and said with a smile, âLetâs go, Byron will be at the gate of the parking lot. He just so happens to pass by your house on his way back.â
Rosalie finally had the opportunity to refuse. âIâll just take a taxi back by myself. I donât want to bother President Lawrence.â
After saying that, she opened the door and got out of the car.
Andrius could not help but be stunned for a moment. He quickly opened the door and chased after her.
He persuaded while following behind Rosalie, âItâs no trouble. Besides, itâs along the way, and itâs so late now. Iâll be worried if you, as alone woman, take the taxi back yourself.â
Rosalie frowned slightly. She still wanted to refuse him but then Andrius suddenly asked something meaningful, âSpeaking of which, the atmosphere between you and Byron seemed off at the dinner table just now. I recalled the last time we met, you two were fine. Are you guys hiding something from me?
Did Byron do something to you? â
Hearing this question all of a sudden, Rosalie glanced at him suspiciously.
However, Andriusâs expression was calm.
