Chapter 591
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 591:
Wesley knew she was rightâperhaps that was the only path forward. He agreed. There was no point in overthinking now. It was better to focus on training and aim for a strong showing in the competition.
Meanwhile, after leaving the restaurant, Madisyn returned to her office to wrap up some final tasks. She recounted her meeting with Wesley to Clayton, who sighed deeply and said, âDr. Mia, Wesley isnât usually like this. Heâs just too smitten with Rosemarie. Iâm sorry for the trouble.â
âJust keep an eye on Wesley when you can,â Madisyn advised.
âThank you for the advice, Dr. Mia,â Clayton said, feeling a bit embarrassed.
After finishing her work, Madisyn headed home. Lately, sheâd been feeling a bit boredâSusan had taken over the Riggs Group and was too busy, and Andrew was swamped with company affairs as well. So, Madisyn decided to return home and spend some time with Elaine.
Then, Maxineâs call caught her off guard.
âMiss Johns, Iâd like to invite you to dinner,â Maxine said.
âOh? What made you think of inviting me to dinner all of a sudden?â Madisyn asked, a bit surprised.
Maxineâs response was quick. âWell, Norton and I got back together.â
At that, everything clicked for Madisyn. After all, during the recent avalanche, Norton had risked his life to save Maxine. Who wouldnât be moved by such a gesture?
Madisyn chuckled softly.
Since she had no plans for the evening, Madisyn accepted the dinner invitation. Maxine and Norton had gone all out, reserving the entire restaurant just for the three of them.
âMadisyn,â Norton greeted her with a polite nod. âIs Andrew coming?â
âHeâs been pretty busy lately,â Madisyn replied.

Norton muttered under his breath, âFunny, I saw him shopping the other dayâ¦â
âWhat did you say?â Madisyn asked, her brow furrowing.
âNothing, nothing,â Norton quickly replied. He added, âLetâs eat, Iâve already ordered a few dishesâtake a look and see if thereâs anything else youâd like.â
Madisyn stayed quiet, her gaze fixed on Norton. Norton suddenly felt as though the weight of the world had settled on his shoulders.
Maxine, with a half-smile, added fuel to the fire. âWhat did you say? Why stop halfway?â
Under the mounting pressure from both women, Norton could only manage a weak, âReally?â
Maxine raised an eyebrow. âHmm?â
With a mere flicker of Maxineâs expression, Norton sensed that a storm was brewing. He dared not withhold the truth any longer and confessed, âI saw Andrew shopping at the mall the other day.â
Madisyn, keeping her composure, replied, âMaybe he was just inspecting the mall.â
Norton hesitated, then added, âBut there was a woman with him.â
