Chapter 714
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 714:
And yet, despite everything, Patty felt no pityâonly a faint, smug satisfaction. Ha! Savannah had always carried herself so arrogantly. Would she still wear that smug face after all of this?
âBy the way, what happened to you?â Babette asked, her gaze shifting to Madisyn with a touch of concern.
Madisyn replied calmly, âIt seems Patty has an issue with me. I was abducted in the restroom and woke up to find myself beaten.â
âWhat?â Patty exclaimed, her voice rising in alarm. âIt was Savannah who beat you, not me.â
As soon as the words left her lips, Patty realized her mistake, and she was met with a sea of stunned stares. She stumbled, trying to correct herself. âNo, thatâs not what I meant.â
âHow did you know it was Savannah who beat me up?â Madisyn asked, her tone unwavering. âPatty, youâve never hidden your disdain for me. Why are you pinning this on Savannah?â
Patty felt her chest tighten with frustration, teetering on the edge of losing control. It wasnât her! She couldnât understand why Savannah would kidnap Madisyn, but she assumed Madisyn must have provoked her in some way. Meanwhile, Yolanda shot Patty a sharp, warning look.
With a clenched jaw, Patty muttered, âI was just⦠joking.â
âYou were just joking?â Madisyn shot back, her voice tinged with accusation. âTo cover up your own misdeeds, you framed your cousin. Not only did you kidnap me, but you also dragged Princess Savannahâs name through the mud!â
Patty opened her mouth, but no words came out. âPatty, youâve really made a mistake this time,â Yolanda said, her tone firm. âSomeone, take her away.â
Turning her attention to Madisyn, Yolanda added, âI sincerely apologize for this. I promise she will face the consequences she deserves.â
Madisynâs lips curled into a sneer. She knew that removing Patty was Yolandaâs way of protecting her. âPerhaps it would be better for the queen to handle this,â Madisyn suggested, her tone dripping with mockery. âEveryone knows about your connection to Patty. If you go easy on her, people will think youâre biased towards your niece, and that wonât reflect well on your reputation, will it?â
Her logic was irrefutable.
Yolanda watched helplessly as Babetteâs men escorted Patty away. A wave of dizziness swept over her. Why was everything spiraling out of control today?
She caught a glimpse of Madisyn, who, despite her youth, radiated a sharp intellect. This was no ordinary woman! Yet, Yolanda had no time to dwell on Pattyâs fate. She had to find Savannah and quickly made her exit.
Babette, her expression clouded with concern, examined Madisynâs injuries. âDid Savannah really hit you?â
âYes, to lure Andrew out,â Madisyn replied, her voice steady.
âIâll have a doctor attend to your injuries and ensure you receive the best care,â Babette said, guiding Madisyn back to her place and summoning a physician immediately.
As the doctor tended to Madisynâs wounds, she remained silent, her composure both impressive and unsettling.
