Run Isabella, RUN!
BLOOD MOON: The Lycan Alpha's Little Witch
Isabelle's Point Of View
I was beyond restless. My legs couldn't stop pacing back and forth in my room. My mind was agonized by the thoughts of how Dimitri was doing, the lunar eclipse had already begun and up until now there was no news from anyone, everywhere remained silent.
I heard a loud roar and howling penetrate through the wall of my chamber. At every painful howl, I felt a deep pain inside, as if something in my chest was being ripped out. I knew that the howls were coming from Dimitri, he had somehow escaped from the cave. His howls sounded so desperate, almost like a broken cry for help. He was in pain, I could feel it.
I made a choice to completely disregard the promise I made to Dimitri yesterday morning. I couldn't possibly just sit in my room and do nothing, that wasn't a bloody option. I needed to find him.
I stormed out of the pack house and deep into the black night. The moon was overtaken by darkness, giving evil the power to roam free.
I headed into the woods, I gazed around not knowing where else to go to find Dimitri. Just then I heard a thunderous growl which shook the ground beneath my feet. I veered around without hesitation, quickly following the sound to wherever it was coming from.
They led me deeper into the woods. I kept on following the growls until they died. I listened more, but I couldn't pick up anything. I could barely see my surroundings. The giant trees had broad branches that formed some kind of canopy in the woods, making it almost impossible for my eyes to wander far.
I was lost. I went straight ahead, but after a while, it felt like I was just wandering in circles.
'Oh Goddess, please show me the way!' I pleaded within me, desperate to find my way to Dimitri.
Just then, I heard faint screams protruding from somewhere. It was near and it sounded like they were coming from the settlement where the pack wolves lived. I immediately followed the sounds, thanking the moon goddess for showing me where to go.
For an unbelievable second, I couldn't move a muscle. My blue eyes were widened as they took in the horrid scene before me. It was a fucking bloodbath.
I could see Dimitri standing there. But it wasn't exactly Dimitri. That wasn't him, the devil within had clearly taken control. He made it to the wolves settlement, killing anything in his path. His face was soaked and covered in blood as he sank his canines into another wolf sending the limp body to the floor.
His eyes glowed a terrifying shade of red, they burned with so much intensity, with a murderous desire to kill. He had canines protruding from his lips, his claws were out as well, dripping blood.
Soon he was surrounded by pack warriors, led by Alaric and Stefanie.
The warriors braced themselves, and in an instant, lunged at
Dimitri. One after the other, Dimitri shoved his sharp claws into them and sent them flying across the meadow. This was insane, none of them was clearly any match for him, he was going to end up killing every single one of them.
I looked around, and just then Lance arrived from the thick woods. Oh boy was I so happy to see him, he had come along with more of the pack warriors.
Lance's gaze shot up in bewilderment the moment it found me. He rushed to me. "Isabelle, what are you doing here?" He questioned.
"I heard he escaped the barrier spell so I came to help." I could barely move my gaze from Dimitri as I watched in horror as he ripped open anyone that dared to attack
"You have to head back to the castle; it's not safe." At Lance's words, a loud growl came from Killian. He pounced on the warriors mercilessly in a swift movement. His bloodshot eyes narrowed on us. His thoughts were evident in that murderous gaze of his.
He lunged at us, but quickly, the warriors that followed Lance rushed to our fronts.
"Fuck!" I heard Lance murmur a series of curses beside me. "I promise, you'll be fine," Lance whispered to me before he and the warriors lunged at Dimitri as he sped towards us.
I watched in horror; Dimitri was attacking his people, and before I knew it, Lance was in his hands. Quickly, his sharp claws swiped through his chest.
"Dimitri!" I didn't know how the word managed to leave my lips. But I'm glad it did, because it stopped Dimitri from ripping Lance's head off.
Dimitri looked at me with stone cold eyes, as he mercilessly tossed Lance to the floor.
"Dimitri please stop. This isn't you, I know you can hear me deep down." I said, as I watched him take slow steps heading for me. I watched as a wicked grin crawled up his face.
"You can fight this." I beckoned. He continued with his approach.
"You are still in control. Dimitri wake up and fight--" before I could finish my sentence, he was before me with his sharp claws imprisoning my neck, jamming me against a tree. I couldn't breathe.
"Mate!" Cessair uttered, his voice hard and distorted. He had a sinister smirk on.
"Cessair no! Don't hurt her." Lance screamed, struggling on the ground "Dimitri would never forgive you!"
Cessair looked over at Lance and then at me. My blue eyes fell instantly into his eyes. It was completely dark. It was like a deep, terrifying, dark pit that one could almost get lost in. It was frightening. I could feel the warm fluid that had begun to rush from a growing pain in my neck.
"Why don't we go somewhere more quiet." Cessair stated, just then we were teleported in a white light.
We were teleported somewhere deep in the mountains, my mouth gasping open at how terrific high we were.
I look behind me and I let out a loud shriek at the sight of Dimitri. He looked a bit more like my Dimitri except for the murderous look he had in his eyes. His face was stained with blood, as he stared at me with hungry red eyes.
"I have never seen him fight so hard to be in control than tonight. He must really fancy you." Cessair said with a devilish laugh. "Too bad I'm about to kill you." His laughter faded to a grim look that made the air in my lungs clench.
"You are not going to hurt me." I said, trying to believe my own words. He let out a scornful laugh.
"And why is that? You are not my mate as I am not Dimitri, I'm not held back to the constraints of his stupid emotions. Those made Dimitri weak." He spat, "You should consider me an upgrade." He said with a cruel smirk.
"You say you do not care but I wouldn't still be alive if you didn't. You want to be the devil everyone is afraid of so badly but I'm not afraid of you."
In a blink of an eye, he was right before me, his hands clenching tight to my neck, shoving me against the wall.
"Afraid now?" He roared, his face looking like that of the devil. I shudder in his hold as I beg for air.
"The eclipse is far from over but before the black moon sets, it's either one of two things that will happen." He inches his face closer. "I kill you, or you kill me. I suggest you start running Isabella." He says in a whisper as he lets me go.
"Run Isabella, run!" He growls, shaking the entire mountain, immediately I take to my heels headed for deep in the foreign woods.
As I continued running through the mountains, I could see a crow stalking me, watching with black eyes from above. I suddenly felt a chill cut through my heart like a knife to butter, as I remembered what my mom used to say.
'Crows represent death. Wherever a crow is found Death is sure to follow.'
A sharp cry escapes my lips as I tripped over a jutted root, falling completely on the ground. Before I could get up I was lifted up by Cessair, hanging in thin air.
"Found you." His grip tightening.
"D-Dimitri," I tried to call, but it seemed the words were stuck in my throat or somewhere within the walls of my mind.
My life was slowly escaping, but at the same time, I could feel my body begin to vibrate surging with a kind of unfamiliar energy I couldn't recognize. Like a blazing force in the pit of my stomach desperate for freedom. Something in me wanted utterance, and without warning, my lips were forced apart and a deafening scream left my lips.
Cessair groaned in pain, quickly releasing his strong hold on my neck. He released a growl. Something was happening to him.
His breathing was hard and labored. The hollow look in his eyes began to fade and I could see a warm spark burn in his eyes,
It was Dimitri. He was back.
"Dimitri," My voice croaked, seeming to pull him out of whatever daze he was in. The depths of his gaze widened. Fear, horror, and regret drowned those broken orbs.
"Isabelle," he muttered. I could see Celeste along with pack warriors arrive at the scene anxiously. That was when I began to feel dizzy, as my vision became very blurry. I could feel the whole world spin around me as I collapsed, but I was caught by Dimitri's arms.
"Isabelle!" That was the last thing I heard before I completely was embraced by darkness.
Yennefer's Point Of View
The air was chilly, as Yennefer walked into the witch's quarters and as expected no one was there to see her, every witch had been called to help capture the devil which was set free from his cage by Death.
She wandered through the doors of the room in which the witches kept all their magical objects. An invisibility cloak was hung in a glass case, she walked over to it, eyeing it deviously.
"I am surely going to be taking this, after I burn this pack to the ground." She let out a laugh. Yennefer had far greater agendas in mind.
Yennefer's lips formed into a dangerous smirk as she saw the object that she sought. The disappearing cabinet stood there just feet apart from her, covered in dust and thick cobwebs. It was broken but it wasn't going to stay that way for long.
She silently mumbled a spell to herself, fixing the cabinet.
"Good as new." She commended the astonishing strength of her magic.
She then placed a red apple in the cabinet then she whispered a spell after closing it.
By the time she opened it back her eyes widened in glee, at the sight. The apple laid there, but it was missing a bite. She picked up the apple, her purple eyes could see a message carved on it.
'Now we move on to phase two.' she smiled wickedly at the message. Now their plans were moving in perfect motion. She took a bite out of the apple as she made her way out of the witches quarters.
