Chapter 910
Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode
Chapter 910
Over in the next room, a few folks were gathered around lanâs bed.
There were Tyler, Fitch, and Phelps. Most of the Raymond clan were long gone. Only a handful really cared about
him.
Itâs been over half a month since lanâs bet against the EcoTraverse Group. With just over a month left, his current
illness had people putting their money on his loss. By the time lanâs out of this hospital, he might not be the big boss
of the Raymond Corporation anymore.
Phelps, who was all scrubbed up for another surgery, glanced at the other two guys. âlan might be out cold for a
few days. You donât need to stick around.â
They all knew lan was dancing with the Grim Reaper this time. And they knew he did it for Maja. He went to save
her when she got herself kidnapped.
Tyler wanted a smoke, but Phelpsâ glare stopped him. âNo smoking in the hospital.â
Tyler pulled a face, a bitter smile on his lips. âGuess Iâll step out for one then.â
The severity of lanâs condition had rattled everyone. Phelps and Tyler left, leaving Fitch alone. Then Darlene showed
up, all teary after hearing the news. Seeing lan lying up like that, she couldnât help but cry. âMr. Raymond, you need
to get well soon. My kid and I need you.â
Fitch, leaning against the wall, raised an eyebrow at her words. He took a look at Darlene. But he couldnât care less
about lanâs love life. He was just surprised. Was the baby Darleneâs carrying lanâs seed?
That canât be right. Ian was known for not being a ladiesâ man.
But Fitch kept his mouth shut, his face a little glum. Darlene was kind of scared of Fitch. He was cold, heavy. His chill
was boneâdeep. Ianâs coldness only came from his reluctance to talk. Ian was more personable than Fitch in
Darleneâs eyes.-
Darlene, seeing Fitch ignoring her, let out a sigh of relief. She kept crying.
âMr. Raymond, you have to wake up soon. My child and I canât lose you. Iâm so worried, I canât even sleep.â
Leaning on her crutches, Maja had just reached lanâs room when she heard Darleneâs tears. Darleneâs words
echoed through the closed door. Her fingers clenched at the memory of lan saying he was going to marry Darlene.
It had been over half a month, but once he woke up, heâd probably be with Darlene soon. Maja didnât know what he
saw in Darlene, but if he liked her, he must have his reasons.
She withdrew her hand from the doorknob, limping away when she bumped into Tyler. He had just finished a smoke
and smiled when he saw her. âPenny, you feeling better?â
For some reason, Maja felt that his smile wasnât as relaxed as before, but rather complicated, even a bit disgusted.
She had always been on good terms with Tyler, so she couldnât figure out where she might have gone wrong. But
Tylerâs voice was still gentle, clearly not planning to expose anything. Maja decided to play along, nodding slightly.
âThanks for your concern. Iâm mostly better.â
Tylerâs hand rested on the doorknob. âArenât you going in?â
They both could hear Darlene, and his question was obviously intentional.
Maja mirrored his smile. âNo need.â
She knew her smile was stiff. She turned to leave, leaning against the wall, intending to return to her own room.
Tyler swung the door open, his voice low. âIf you donât even have the guts to face this, you should stay away from
lan.â
Maja paused. She was about to ask what he meant, but Tyler had already entered and closed the door. Inside,
Darleneâs voice could still be heard, along with Tylerâs teasing tone.
âWorry about him? He might dump you when he wakes up.â
âMr. Raymond wouldnât dump me. After all, Iâm carrying his child.â
Maja didnât want to hear any more. She leaned against the wall and took a few steps, but accidentally tripped. Her
crutch fell to the floor. She bent down to pick it up, but the sound of the door opening stopped her. Fitch stepped
out.
Fitch was mainly annoyed by Darleneâs crying. He had a general distaste for the sound of any woman crying. Seeing
Maja, he frowned and approached her.
Her fingers were about to touch the crutch when a pair of expensive leather shoes entered her line of sight. Then
those shoes viciously kicked the crutch farther away.
