What's That Supposed To Mean? - Werewolf Romance
HEYYYYYYYY!
Thank you for the awesome comments, votes, likes, fannings and soooo on! I love the support, I really do. Without you guys, I probably would give up a loooong time ago. But I haven't and I thank YOU for that. Though, I must say:
Every chapter might not be so good, lol, it's getting boring already. I dont have much to write about but thats because its coming to an end sooon... I then have to work on the sequel to "Alpha Mate, Check..." so thats quite some work because IÂ have to rewrite pretty much everything I have written there on my computer -.-'
Anywhoooo... hope you like it, be honest and show your awesome support! LOVE YOU!
BTW!!! read pleaaaaaase :D --------- The last chapter (31) came out weird. It's supposed to be longer?! But anyways, I've cut that missing part out and put it into the beginning of Chapter 32, which is coming now, in case you think something is weird or anything! So, here it is! :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 32
Then I stopped in my tracks, my eyes on something unbelievable. Was that-? Is that-? Like, seriously? I wanted to kiss them for this cave room or whatever and thank the builder for that small window a few feet away from me. They obviously didn't count on me seeing this or even coming all the way to this back.
I moved quickly over to the window and pulling myself up with all my strength, I swung my leg up and out through it, hearing the running footsteps of the big guys. I didn't exactly know if it was them but noone else knew I had run away. Unless they told the others and they were now all running after me. I didn't care though, I found a way out and I was running the heck out of here!
I swung my other leg over and threw myself out, straight into the woods somewhere. I got up and without a glance back, I shifted and ran.
(END OF CHAPTER 31, ORIGINALLY)
I had been running for over two hours. I think. It went pretty fast but I had neither a clock or anything that showed the time on me so I had to guess. It went fast but it had been quite a while. Now I didn't know where I was since I had just run off somewhere. But I was on someones territory. Or I was close; I could feel the werewolves and that this belonged to someone else. Still in my wolf form, I walked carefully and quietly through the trees and bushes and stopped when I saw a big one floor house. The lights inside shone brightly in contrast to the now darker sky and I wondered who could be living here. I tried to think of another pack living here in this town but nothing came up.
Then I was attacked.
For the hundreth time in my life, it seemed like. I felt a bit pissed off because of that and immediately took defense and bit back. I got the neck of the werewolf in my mouth and it whined but struggled back. Another wolf jumped forward and growled at me, jumping on me. I let go of the other wolf, growling as loud as I could and tried pushin them both off as I clumsily backed away. We stood there now, two light haired werewolves staring at me and growling. One was a male and the other was a female.
Who are you? I thought to myself, not knowing if I should stop my defense mode. I sighed, battling myself but in the end stopped growling and bent my head down a little, my eyes on them. This was a sign of defeat or that I didn't want them any harm.
They immediately stopped growling at me and I sighed of relief. Thank God. I looked back up and not being able to communicate well with them, I whined. The she-wolf came forward and the male growled protectively at her. She ignored him and came forward until she was inches from my face. She stared into my eyes and I just stood there, a little bit uncomfortable. She nudged her head, nodding towards the house. The male werewolf was still growling at her, obviously not liking her idea but she continued to ignore him.
I nodded once and followed her out to the big field and towards their house. I felt weird being alone here, on another packs territory but I had a good feeling about her. Though, we all know my feelings aren't always true. I'm a trouble magnet after all and I always try to see the best in people. Sometimes.
When we were just a few feet away from the front door, she motioned for me to sit by sitting down once, nodding at me and then when I did as she said, she disappeared inside. Her brother stayed, though, watching me with catious eyes.
The girl came out again, this time as a human and held clothes in her hand. She was beautiful. Like a Exotic Snow Princess or something. Beautiful blonde hair, tan skin and big blue eyes. She was tall and slender and her face was cute and innocent, like a pixie. Her hair was a bit messy but it fit her innocent look. She smiled at her brother as she passed him.
âIt's fine, Leo, I can feel it.â
They were obviously talking in mind-link. She smiled at me this time, gesturing to the back of the house.
âFollow me, please.â
I got up and followed her to the back where she put the clothes in her hand on the ground and turned around. I made sure her brother hadn't followed us and shifted. I noticed underwear as well and was about to comment that when she said,
âDon't worry about the underwear. They're completely new. I have a couple of new ones in my closet in case a situation like this comes up.â
Situation like this? Did this happen to her everyday? Meeting a random she-wolf and giving her clothes? I wanted to comment that too, curious to who she was, but I shrugged and put on the underwear and then a tshirt and a pair fitted jeans. Weird, they fitted me perfectly.
âYou seemed to have the right size, so.â
I looked up and noticed her smiling at my confused face.
âThank you,â I said, smiling. âNow... who are you exactly?â
She gave a small laugh.
âSorry 'bout that. I'm Leona Raven. My brother over there is Leo. We're from the Raven Pack.â
She looked at me as if a bell was supposed to ring but it didn't. Raven Pack... never heard of that one.
âI'm Samantha Riley.â
âNice to meet you, Samantha. May I ask what you were doing out there alone?â
Should I tell this stranger what had just happened to me? What if they knew Liz or that Alpha dude and then kidnapped me as well?
Wow, paranoid much? I chuckled and explained about the kidnap and about Liz's plan. But I didn't tell her any names; I wasn't sure I could trust her yet though I had a really good feeling about her.
As soon as I mentioned the kidnapping, though, her eyes almost fell out.
âKidnapped?! Are you serious? By who?! That is so terrible! Please, come inside with me!â
She didn't give me time to say anything and just walked away so I followed her back to the front, where her brother was no longer sitting, and in through the front door. The one storey house was big, beautiful and spacious, perfect for several people. She gestured to the common room.
âTake your seat, I will be right back,â she said, smiling. I nodded, sitting down and waiting. As I waited, someone else came in and I snapped my head up, my eyes landing on a guy identical to Leona. Blonde hair, blue eyes and tanned, he was tall and well built and very handsome. He had to be her brother, Leo. They were identical except that he was... a guy.
âI'm sorry,â I blurted out, standing up. âI'm Samantha Riley. You must be Leo? I'm sorry for the situation out there earlier.â
âHi...â he said, still hesitating. Well, I didn't really blame him. I was a werewolf stranger. In his house. Comfortable. But he seemed to relax a little. âI'm Leo, yes. Where did my sister go?â
I pointed to the door on the wall to his right and he nodded once, walking over there. Well, more like marching over there and disappeared inside. I wanted to listen in but I decided not to. I didn't want to invade their privacy even if they wouldn't know.
I tried mind-linking while I waited.
Noah? Mase? Caleb?
Oh, so Jacob can't help you?
My heart flipped at hearing Jacob's amused voice in my head and I tried my hardest not to jump off the couch and do a happy dance.
Jacob! Oh my God, finally! I can talk to you!
Well, techincally, we're not talking. We are thinking and the words we are thinking are sent-
Jacob.
Sorry.
Where are you?!
We're looking for you. In this weird place... So I'm guessing you're out?
Yes.. And you're really calm...?
I knew you'd get out. And if you would be in there, you wouldn't be able to mind-link or you would've done it before. And the reason why Noah can't hear you is because that freak is so worried and concentrated on sniffing the ground for you that he's too busy opening his mind. Mason is asleep somewhere.
Great search, I commented sarcastically and laughed. Well, I laughed in my head.
So where are you?
I'm at a house that belongs to a pack named Raven something. A girl and her brother found me. Well, they attacked me. And then she gave me clothes and I'm inside, waiting for them to come out from their father's study or whatever that is.
Wait... you're with Leona Raven?!
Um... yes?
Samantha! We were there just a few hours ago! Why didn't you tell me earlier?! Now he sounded panicked. I frowned.
You didn't ask!
Don't go anywhere! Tell them that you're waiting for us. They know who we are.
Jake? Jake?! Jake!
âUgh, dammit!â I muttered. He was gone. And they were on their way. Well, that would take some time.
The door opened and out came Leo, Leona and a man in my father's and Uncle John's age. He had a powerful aura and a very kind and humble aura. I knew this was a man to trust immediately. And they knew the Black's.
He came towards me and I got up, shaking his hand as he reached out.
âSamantha Riley,â I said.
âI'm Bo Raven, very nice to meet you, Miss. Riley. I know your father, Bill. You have grown up quite well!â
I smiled. He knew my father, too. Bonus.
âI just want to ask you, Leona,â I said, giving Bo Raven an apologetic polite excusing smile, âabout the guys that you met earlier today? The Black's?â
She nodded and then realization came to her.
âYou're the one they searched for, aren't you?â
âYes.â I nodded. âI'm Noah Black's mate.â
âYou are? Wow, that's great. Congratulations on finding your mate,â she said, her eyes twinkling. I gave her a thankful smile and continued.
âI just mind-linked them, trying to see if it worked now. And they said they are coming back. Is that okay?â
âThat is more than okay,â Bo Raven answered, smiling. âThe Black's and the Riley's are always welcome here. Please, make yourself comfortable. Is it alright if I ask you about the kidnapping once they're here?â
âOh yes, absolutely. I'll answer as much as I can.â
âVery well. Leona, please show her around.â
Leona nodded happily and her father and brother disappeared back to the room. She smiled as she led me to the kitchen. She poured us both some soda and leaned over the counter as I sat on the bar chair across from her. She was kind of staring at me. It was a little weird but I didn't say anything. I tried not to laugh either. This was a weird situation.
âOh my God, I'm so sorry!â she said suddenly, bursting into laughter. âI didn't mean to stare. You're beautiful, I was just... looking at you. I'm sorry, I tend to do that sometimes.â
I laughed with her. âIt's fine. So... I'm guessing you haven't been living in town for long?â
âNo. We came here a few days ago... We lived her many years ago with the pack but then we moved to another state... Now we're back for some business. My brother is becoming Alpha after my father very soon and they want to attend some pack business before that happens so that everything is under control.â
âReally? Noah is becoming Alpha after his father as well soon... And my father's Alpha position is passing... to me.â
âAre you serious? That's so cool! A female Alpha! First one in so many years! And together with your mate, that's so nice... But... you have two packs then?â
I chuckled, shaking my head.
âNo, my father and Uncle John, Noah's dad, are like brothers and they have always put their packs together when needed. When Noah and I will become Alpha's the packs will officially become one.â
âWow, that's so cool... So his brothers? Are they all mated?â
âOh no... Um, Mason and Noah are the only ones who have mates. The other ones are still waiting. Jacob is the oldest one of the others, so I'm hoping he's next.â
She smiled, nodding. âI don't have a mate either. My brother does, though. She's great. Total opposite; dark hair, dark eyes and a little bit paler. But they are great together.â
âThat's nice. I hope you find your mate soon. It's amazing.â
She sighed dreamily and chuckled. âI hope so too.â
