Alex - move on
beta's alpha (completed)
"why are we at the lake?" Theo asked taking in it's blue waters, we used to come here as kids, spending countless hours playing in the cool waters.
"because its fun" i opened my door and hoped out then pulling m shirt over my head and heading towards the lake. when i reached the ater i heard a car door close and i knew he was following me.
we played around splashing and shoving, it was just like when we were kids. I didn't realize till now that childhood is over. when we were out of breath we both moved to the shallow waters not ready yet to leave the
"Do I get to come?" his voice was low as he stared at the water going just below his waist.
"What?" i was confused with his statement, come to what?
". . . to the wedding" he glassed over at me the wet dark hair now sticking to his face. to be honest i didn't think he'd wat to go all things considered.
"of course your my best friend"Â i placed my hand on his shoulder smiling to him, i was glad he still wanted to be around even after I'm going to get married.
"Cool I 'll try not to make fun of you too much" he said chuckling as he was ringing out the end of his shirt letting out all the extra water before leaving the lake heading towards my truck.
" thanks" i said laughing as i followed him out of the water when i reached the shore he looked back me and my heart sank, it was like we knew what we both knew what the other was thinking about, all the stuff they will miss out on. but the moment disappeared as he continued walking briskly to his side of the truck and something just took over and i started following behind him.
Then... All I remember is that I spun him around and without warning, i grabbed his thin waist and kissed him so passionately right in the middle of the woods. Not caring about the cold clothes clinging on our bodies or the the fact we were out in the open . I was so taken off guard as he started to kiss back , but I just literally melted right there.
Somehow, he managed to use one arm was holding me tight around my waist and the other was caressing my hair and I simply got lost in the fabric of time. He was a bit shorter than me and my head was tilted down . And in that moment it was like we were telling each other how we felt but no words just lips.
Oh my... Once he let go of me and rested his head softly on mine everything was coming back to reality.
Then i said "Let's go"
And Off he went running towards that door as i returned back to my side trying to ignore all i felt but the thoughts were strong and i couldn't make the disappear.
THAT kiss was perfect for me.
prefect.
When I got back to my truck I grabbed my t-shirt and pulled it over my head, the shirt quickly soaked up the water making the shirt cling to my body. I didn't look back at Theo It was only going to make it harder than it had to be. I shouldn't have been with him last night, but when he asked I couldn't control myself. Theo seemed just as uncomfortable as I was as we made our way back to the pack house, he didn't look in my direction though I'm not sure if I would want him to.
When I pulled up to the pack house i shut off the engine and I looked at him but still he didn't look at me, I sighed before moving to get out of the old truck.
"I don't think I can be your beta anymore" I snapped my head back at him and watched as he was already out of the car. I quickly got out and followed him to the hood of the truck.
"what are you talking about?" my voice seemed gone as I waited for his reply, he looked back up at me and all I felt was pain.
"Babe" I heard a voice I knew all too well, I turned and watch her come out of the house smiling at me. I couldn't help but smile back. Over the months I got to know her she's been the only sold thing I had since my birthday and she always makes me smile. She jogged down the steps before racing towards me and out of natural response I caught her in my arms. She giggled at me as I spun her around before setting her back down.
"you got it " she asked her smile reaching her ears, she was so happy to have a wedding she missed out on that with her last mate and I was glad to make her happy.
"Yep" I said turning to the truck were the deer was, that was when I realized Theo was no longer there.
I ignored Mary as she ran around to the tailgate to check out the animal, I looked around hoping to get a glance of where he went but I saw nothing. He was right, he always was, he had to move on and I'm the one that wouldn't let us. I had to let him go, my father said it was going to break me and it was. But I have a pack to take care of and now a soon to be wife, I had to let go. I sighed before following my fiancées footsteps ignoring the pull of my wolf that longed to look for Theo.
But we have to move on.
