Chapter 5: Game

Liam started playing, I hate doing the first shot, the break. I'm not strong enough to shoot too hard.

After him, it's Lucas'turn. He barely touches a ball and he lets one of them in an easy position for me to the pot.

When I took the cue, I could see the guys watching me attentively, sipping their beers. It's easy to pot the ball Lucas let close to the pocket on the right corner and score the first point. The white ball comes closer to the others facilitating my next shot. I pot a second ball inside of a hole in the middle, and it makes me smile to myself.

Kaya ko pa palang maglaro, namiss ko to.

It is all about mathematics and physics, angles, speed, and strategy. I love it. Pinagpatuloy na namin ung laro, Liam and I are winning against Mark and Lucas.

Magaling maglaro si mark, Pero mas gusto niyang uminom at magpatawa sa mga taong nakakasalamuha niya. 'Di nga siya naka focus sa game namin e, helping me and Liam to have more opportunities.

Missing two balls to win the game, I hear someone clearing his throat behind me. I almost miss my shot with the noise.

As my smile appears, because of the ball I have just potted, it fades away when I see my sister's angry face.

What the hell is she doing here?

She's with Maxine and another guy I never met.

"Anong ginagawa niyo dito cols?" tanong ko, while I prepare myself to shoot the last ball.

The 'bang' of balls hitting each other is loud when I score.

"Apir!!" I high-five Liam, while smiling like a little kid. Liam smiles back and we celebrate our victory in front of the guys.

"We came here to play pool din, tapos na ba kayo mga bata??" Col asked.

Bata? Numeron sakanya? ulol ba'to?

She's fuming, red with what looks like anger.

Hala yawa.

I try to look at Maxine for support, but I see she shares Cols humor. she's glaring at Liam. Nasa likod ko na silang dalawa ngayon, muka silang bodyguards ko, making the nice ambiance get colder in seconds. Liam moves away, joining the other guys.

Piste ano ba kasing ginagawa nila dine?

"Guys ate ko nga pala si Col, Cols these are Liam, Mark, and Lucas."

I decided at least to try to be polite after my brother misbehaved.

"ahm, guys pwede bang ipahiram muna natin sakanila ung table? maya nalang tayo maglaro" I ask, staring at my classmates.

"Sige" Liam is the first to respond. He looks terrified of my Ate o kay Maxine, o baka parehas, ewan ko.

"No Quinn, dito ka lang! Play with m- i mesn us, kulang kami, tatlo lang eh." Maxine tells me using a commanding tone. D ko gusto un ah,

"Quinn plays with me, so Andrew plays with Gab." col tells us. There was no questioning it. What's happening with these girls today? Are they on their period?

I honestly mas preferred ko na umalis nalang at sumama sa mga kaklase ko kesa sakanila e, Pero natakot ako kasi I never saw Charles behaving like this before. May ginawa ba skong mali?? Because for some strange reason I'm feeling guilty and scared, pero d ko alam kung bakit.

"Huy, Simulan mo na, looks like you have the weakest team". Maxine takes a cue and winks at me.

Her change of humor will drive me insane someday. She's now in a good mood, smiling, full of herself like she is the best pool player.

Nakatitig lang ako sakanya hoping na sana mawala yang ngiti niyang nakakainis.

It's tiring how she is always so presumptuous.

Col does the break, her angry behavior helps to increase the strength of his shot. She's not a good pool player, but also not the worst.

You would think I have learned to play pool with her, but no. It was with Remy and his friends. We used to play a lot during high school, Jeremy has a pool table in his house, enabling us to play it almost every day.

Maxine is the next, completely focused on the game. I have to admit she looks really cute and hot when she is not being smug.

she succeeds in putting two balls inside the holes. Magaling siya, Pero, she lets the white ball in the middle of the table, with easy access.

As soon as I start to position myself to play next, I observe his concentrated face analyzing me. It is not difficult for me to pot a ball. I could also do a second one, making us even now.

Gab, Maxine's friend, plays after me.

She is not a good player, maybe, worse than Cols, like that we will have a chance.

At each time Gab and Col shot they barely moved the balls a bit around the table, not potting any ball. Maxine potted twice again, and I must admit one of the shots was incredible.

she is in fact really good; she finished his turn letting the white ball secluded on a corner for me to play next. The fact that I play after her gives her an advantage. She can always let the white ball in a hard position for me, and I see the pleasure in his eyes each time she does just that.

Her tactics are enervating me, but I need to get over it in order to have a chance to win this game. The position she left the white ball makes it difficult for me to do something. I analyze what I could do, the obvious move would be to make the white ball go over the one blocking my way, but it is a difficult move.

I never really succeeded in doing it. So, I decide to use the cushion to rebound the white ball aiming one of my balls to hopefully, get inside of a pocket.

'Di ako makapaniwala noong nakita ko ung bola ko na pumapasok sa  isang pocket. YES, may chance pa kami.

I go to play again, moving to the other side of the table, enabling me to reach the white ball with my cue and aim my ball in a good direction. On the same side where Maxine is leaning against the pool table. As soon as I prepare to shoot, she comes near me.

"I see, you know exactly what to do with the balls huh?" I look at her astonished.

"I can always show you how to make it better. More pleasurable you know?" she completes, making me blush.

She succeeds in turning the pool game into a sexual one with her double meanings. I got completely w3t with her hot words and closeness. For a moment I let myself feel his husky perfume. It is intoxicating....

With my cue, I hit her slightly on the rib.

"Feisty, I love it." she said moving to my left side now. I glare at him; she makes me completely destabilized.

"I need some space para maglaro yk." I hardly replied

"You just needed to ask for it" she says winking at me, and now moving to let me have my space.

"I do anything for you, pleasurably, baby."
