Chapter 215
A Farewell After Being Reborn
Ian felt a twinge of regret for letting her go when he looked at Sage. Even though she was wearing a
modest swimsuit, it failed to cover her slender, long legs and curves.
âIan, are you listening?â Calvin called out again.
Ian looked away, his tone tinged with irritation. âWhat is it?â
âWhy are you so cranky? What? Are you pentâup?â Calvin teased. Little did he know that his joke
would hit a nerve.
âIn the future, just call Terry when you need something. Donât call me ever again!â Ian then hung up the
phone on him.
Calvin was left hanging, puzzled. What did he do wrong? Why couldnât he call Ian anymore?
Meanwhile, Sage found Tiana. The latter had sent her colleagues away as if she knew the former
would come looking for her. Tiana sat in the rose pond, holding her phone with a grin. âWhat are you
laughing at? Youâre going to get me killed!â Sage grumbled as she eased into the pool..
âWhat did I do? I brought you here to soak in the hot springs, not to cozy up to Ian!â Tiana teased. âYou
guys hugged it out like you never wanted to let go of each other. Those who didnât know any better
wouldâve thought you guys were newlyweds rather than on the brink of divorce.â
Sageâs face began to heat up again as she thought about what had just happened. Things werenât as it
seemed, but she couldnât tell Tiana that Ian was aroused, so she had to go with her nonsense.
along
âOh, look whoâs blushing now?â Tiana continued. âYou have no idea how envious and jealous my
colleagues were just now. The girls were squealing next to me, telling me they couldnât take it anymore
and that they wanted to get married and fall in love. I almost went deaf!â âCut it out!â Sage splashed
water on Tiana. âItâs all your fault! You tricked me into coming here, and you wonât even share a room
with me! I donât care. Iâm sleeping with you tonight!â Even though Ianâs luggage wasnât in her room, she
still felt a little uneasy. After all, she wouldnât stand a chance against him if he had those urges again. It
was safer to stay with
Tiana.
Tiana wiped the water off her phone pouch and refused. âNo way! Wilson will be here tonight. I canât
have you interrupting our quality time together!â
Sage was fuming. âBut you clearly said Wilson was busy when we set off!â
âYeah, he was tied up this morning, but heâs free tonight,â Tiana responded. Then, her eyes up when
she noticed something. She hurriedly picked up her phone and took a closer look before exclaiming,
âLook, Sage! Someone just posted a photo of you and Ian!â
lit
âWhat photo?â Sage had a bad feeling about this. She leaned over to take a look. Sure enough,
it was Ian holding her close.
In the photo, lan was lifting her effortlessly with one hand while the other arm was wrapped around her
waist. He was also lowering his head to plant a kiss on her head.
Maybe it was the angle of the shot, but a ray of sunlight shone down on them when Ian kissed her. It
made the image look very aesthetically pleasing.
âTsk tsk, with your looks, even a casual photo becomes cinematic,â Tiana exclaimed. âLook at these
comments! You can tell how work up everyone is.â
Of course, Sage took notice. Half of the group wished they had such a connection, while the other half
gushed about how beautiful and sweet she and Ian looked in the photo.
Some also said that they thought she and Ian didnât have a good relationship at the companyâs party
last time, but it seemed as if they were mistaken. They even vowed to ship them.
Sage couldnât help but scoff about how naive these people were. All of a sudden, she realized
something was amiss. She snatched Tianaâs phoneâ¦
