Chapter 425
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 425
âGo and apologize to her sincerely. Try to make amends as much as you can,â suggested Yiordan, who
had always thought about things rationally.
âShe wonât accept it. Besides, she doesnât need my apologies,â responded Joshua.
âWhether she accepts it or not is her business. If you feel youâve done wrong, you should apologize,â
Yiordan stated gently.
Joshua remained silent, his mind seemingly elsewhere.
âOr is it that youâre hoping to win her back?â
âShe wonât give me that chance.â
As Joshua spoke, Yordan could see a change in his demeanor. What had happened between them?
Joshua set his drink aside, reclining against the back of the sofa, his gaze fixated on the faintly lit
ceiling. His emotions seemed to have reached a tipping point, demanding release.
âJoshua,â called Viordan, concerned. He had never seen Joshua so fragile, as though he were a
porcelain doll, ready to shatter at the slightest touch.
With a blink, Joshua hid his tumultuous emotions behind closed eyes. Only when he had pushed back
his surging emotions did he say, in a hoarse voice, âIâm alright.â
âDo you regret divorcing Cynthia?â Yiordan asked, his gaze fixated on Joshuaâs face.
Joshua continued to stare at the ceiling. Just as Yiordan thought he would not answer, Joshua broke
his silence. âYes.â
Not just regret. He wished he could go back to the time before everything happened, half a year ago.
Ignoring Jayleenâs calls, being there with Cynthia, cherishing her, adoring her, and making her happy.
âThen remember this feeling. Avoid making the same mistake in the future,â advised Yiordan, who was
the kind of person who would readily take a bullet for him
Yordan had warned him before. People often learn their lessons the hard way, Joshua listened to his
sarcastic comments without a word of protest, as though he were taking everything to heart.
By the time they left, it was already midnight. Although Yoel had left early in the morning, he was still
concerned about his boss. As soon as he received Yiordanâs call, he drove over to pick them up.
Joshua and Yordan were seated in the back. Since getting into the car, Joshua had been behaving as
though he were drunk. He just did not want to speak, to open his eyes, or to interact.
Yorl was unaware of the situation. This was the first time he had seen Joshua in such a state
âHow much did Mr. Neal drink tonight?â he asked Yordan as he drove.
âNot much.â
âNot much, but heâs this drunk?â Yoel was somewhat surprised.
Yordan glanced at Joshua, a gentle curve lifting his lips. âThe man is intoxicated, not because of the
wine.â
Instantly, Yoel understood. The boss was einotionally overloaded, and it had nothing to do with the
alcohol.
âDid you guys come here on a business trip?â
âNo, Mr. Neal came a long way to pursue his exâwife. We moved our office base to Nexuriaâs branch
office,â replied Yoel honestly.
Yiordan was surprised. âDo you know what happened between him and Cynthia?â
Yoel did not answer immediately. He glanced at the rear view mirror, noticing Joslinaâs lack of objection.
He shared the whole
story.

âMr. Neal thought that Ms. Yates would always hold on to their initial passion, even if he hurt her a
thousand times over. However, Ms. Yates thought differently. She believes in not going back to a past
love,â Yoel narrated, his words vividly capturing the scene.
Yiordan chuckled lightly.
Joshua was silent.
His downcast mood was abruptly turned to annoyance by Yoelâs remarks. He thought to himself, This
guy, he really canât say anything nice.â
Half an hour laterâ¦
