After a brief silence, Ellora decided to take Cynthia’s advice. “Alright.”

“Take care of your pregnancy. Ignore everything about the Young family. You only need to think about

whether you like the child and if you are ready to be a mother.” Cynthia hoped she would take good

care of herself.

“Cynthia,” Ellora sounded a little choked up.

“Yes?” Cynthia always had a gentle tone with girls.

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome,” Cynthia replied, then added, “After your divorce from Chyler, I can arrange a new

residence for you, switch you to a new agency, and keep you away from everything related to the

Young family

“Alright,” Ellera agreed.

After offering some comforting words, Cynthia hung up the phone. Pregnant women need to be

surrounded by love. What Chyler could not offer to Ellora, Cynthia could. Life does not have to be filled

with romance to be worth living, Family, friendship, and a strong sense of self can make life wonderful.

After ending the call, she continued to bask in the sun.

It was nearing evening when she finally returned to her study to organize details about Samantha’s

misdaings, preparing a clear overview for Old Man Tanz to go through in a couple of days. By the time

she finished, it was past nine in the evening- After bidding Shirley and Jonathan goodnight, she

retreated to a much-needed bath and then bed. Her routines were generally quite orderly.

The following morning, while Cynthia was having breakfast with Jonathan and Shirley, Jonathan

received a call from Michelle The essence of the conversation suggested that Michelle wanted to meet

with Jonathan and the others

Jonathan, having taken the call on speaker, glanced unconsciously at Cynthia and Shirley after hearing

the proposal “Not today I have something going on,” he responded.

“But it’s Mom’s birthday. Aren’t you really coming?” Michelle’s voice echoed from the phone.

Jonathan paused, unsure of the appropriate response. If he agreed, he would let down Cynthia and

Shirley, as he had promised to spend the holiday with them at home. On the other hand, it was indeed

Mandy’s birthday.

“Mom went out early to buy a lot of food, specifically for you and the sisters. If you don’t come, won’t all

that food go to waste?” Michelle continued, her tone hinting at sympathy.

Just as Jonathan was about to refuse, Cynthila interjected, “We will come over later.”

Jonathan and Shirley were both taken aback. Even Michelle seemed stunned by the sudden

agreement. Cynthia’s distaste for her and her mother was well known. Why would she agree to come

over?

“Cyn?” Jonathan questioned, slightly bewildered.

“We don’t have anything else planned for today anyway, and it won’t take up too much time,” Cynthia

rationalized. Her perspective had evolved. In the past, she might have been possessive about her

father, just like any other child, thinking her father belonged only to her, Shirley, and her inother.

However, after learning about her parents’ history, she found herself empathizing more with their past

and learned to let go.

As long as Mandy and Michelle did not threaten the Yates Group or harm her family, Cynthia could

accept them. The Yates Group was the fruit of her parents’ union, and she would not let anyone covet

Shirley blinked at Cynthia like a sprite. “Sis, are we really going?”

“Minhm.”

“Really?” Jonathan sought confirmation

Cynthia nodded affirmatively. “Heally.”

Convinced by her seriousness, Jonathan informed Michelle, “We’ll be there in a bit.”

“Great! Mom and I will be waiting for you,” Michelle responded quickly
