Chapter 24
A Love Bom From Vengeance by Tuesday Parsons
Chapter 24 Never Touch Her Again
Right then, Hugo was like toying with prey, filled with amusement. He didnât speak, only walking toward
her.
âStay backâ¦â Celia retreated once again, an ominous feeling brewing within her.
Seeing that there were only two steps left before she hit the wall behind, he deliberately tried to corner her against the wall and closed the gap.
Sure enough, Celia backed up again. When her back finally touched the wall, she anxiously glanced back. Just then, the manâs long arms rested on both sides of her shoulders, his tall figure casting a shadow over
her.
âYou should be well aware of what consequences you wouldâve faced tonight if it werenât for me,â Hugo reminded her in his low voice.
Celia bit her red lips while feeling extreme danger, trapped between the wall and his chest.
She looked up and looked into the extraordinarily handsome face. His familiar male presence caused her breath to hitch as if she had returned to those days five years ago when he bullied her.
She lowered her gaze, the disgust evident on her averted face.
Whether it was because of her actions or something else, the man suddenly gripped her chin, forcing her
to look at him.
Celia raised her head with disdain, the determination shining in her clear eyes.
âDonât you dare touch me again,â she warned.
Hugo felt exasperated. He had practically saved her life that night, yet this was how she was repaying him!
She was as obedient as a domestic cat five years ago, but now, she had turned into a wild feline. That wildness somehow ignited a conquering desire within him, and a heat surged in his eyes, unbeknownst even to himself.
The next second, he swiftly and decisively bent down, attacking her red lips.
He kissed her soft and sweet lips.
Four years had passed, and a single kiss made his body explode.
He couldnât deny that this woman made him so ravenous he wanted to devour her whole.
Celia knew deep down that she couldnât escape his grasp. The more she resisted, the more it would provoke his desire to bully her. As such, she simply kept her eyes open like an emotionless puppet, allowing this man to kiss her as passionately as he pleased.
Nothing but disgust filled her eyes.
The man eventually realized this as well. He released her and stared at her with a hint of astonishment.
âIs this repayment enough?â Celia asked sarcastically.
Annoyance and displeasure instantly flashed across Hugoâs eyes. At that, he leaned in once again and
1/3
kissed her.
He refused to believe she would remain indifferent, and he didnât believe she didnât feel anything.
Never did Celia expect the man to be such a jerk. She had made her stance clear, yet he did it again, and even more shamelessly at that.
Finally, Celia closed her eyes. She didnât know if it was because the drug hadnât worn off or something else, but she let out a slight gasp, and a hint of complacency flashed across Hugoâs eyes.
Then, he took a step back, releasing her while smirking. âWell, it looks like someoneâs still enthusiastic about me!â
âAs if⦠I only feel hatred toward you!â Celia bit her lip, her face turning red.
Just then, Hugoâs phone rang. He glanced at the incoming number, his gaze fixed on Celia. âConsider yourself lucky to have encountered me tonight. Be smarter from now on.â
With that, he strode out of the hotel room. As he entered the elevator, he answered the phone. âHello?â
âDaddy, when will you be back? Iâve been waiting for you to give me a bath!â On the other end was his son, Jeremy, complaining childishly.
âIâm on my way.â
âDrive safe.â
âGot it.â
Hugo still looked grim as he stepped out of the elevator, his mind somewhat absent.
He still felt annoyed as he reflected on his feelings toward Celia earlier. What is up with you, Spencer? Why did a single kiss make you lose control? How can you throw your rationality out the window as soon as she complied?!
This wasnât a good sign for him.
You have already settled things with her four years ago. Plus, you have something that she canât know her whole life, so why provoke her now?
He knew he had to stay away from her from now on, and he couldnât let her discover the existence of his son. Even if he knew she wouldnât be able to win custody of Jeremy, he still didnât want the boy to know about her, considering his strong desire to find his mother.
Back in the hotel room, Celia called Bryceâs assistant, Michelle, asking her to bring a set of clothes over.
While waiting, she forcefully wiped her lips on the couch. After four years, this man had become even more ruthless. Nonetheless, considering he had saved her that night, she could only suppress her emotions and stay far away from him.
She tried hard to bury the pain in her heart, not wanting to relive it all over again. The man was her lifeâs. nightmare.
Meanwhile, Michael was being scolded by Pansy in the hotel parking lot. âYou useless piece of trash! How did you let such a perfect opportunity slip?!â
âIâm sorry, Ms. Coffman. I really donât know who that man was. He took Celia away without a word, and he
2/3
even kicked me.â Michael felt incredibly unlucky. His rib cage was still hurting badly.
âDid you see who that man was?â
âI did, but I donât know him. I just have a feeling that heâs no average Joe, Michael answered.
âYou fool! Youâve ruined my grand plan. Get out!â Pansyâs chest heaved in anger. Her plans to destroy Celia had failed twice.
How is it possible for that b*tch to escape every time?
At the same time, a black sports car roared on the street. The man in the car took a slight breath, his slender fingers brushing against his thin lips. At the thought of the soft red lips he had just tasted, he pressed his tongue against his check exasperatedly. F*ck, they still had an irresistible effect on him.
The thought of other men having tasted her as well brought about an inexplicable annoyance within him.
Meanwhile, Celia went home in Michelleâs car. The events of that night filled her with anger, and she speculated on who could be targeting her-who else other than Pansy and Yana?!
Furthermore, which drink was the problem? She believed it was the last one, the woman who claimed to be her aunt. She must have been bribed by Pansy.
Investigating the matter would be difficult for her now. She didnât catch the person on the spot, nor did she have any evidence.
Be more cautious the next time, Stuart!
In the luxurious villa, Jeremy sat on the steps while playing with the robot in his hands. When he heard the sound of an engine, he excitedly picked up the robot and ran toward the parking lot.
âDaddy!â
As the tall man stepped out of the vehicle, the little boy dashed toward him.
Hugo embraced the little boy, lifting him and kissing his tender face. âDo you have to wait for Daddy to come back before sleeping?â
âYes!â Jeremy replied determinedly.
It was a habit he had developed since he was little. No matter how late it was, he would only go back to his room to sleep after his father returned home.
This habit was also the reason why Hugo turned down all evening engagements. Nothing was more important than coming back to spend time with his son.
Under the light, the little boyâs big, sparkling eyes resembled Celiaâs, captivating Hugo for a few seconds.
His sonâs face was quite miraculous. Although everyone who saw him said he resembled Hugo, his eyes resembled his mother strongly.
