Chapter 25
A Love Bom From Vengeance by Tuesday Parsons
Chapter 25 Became Online Friends.
After returning to the room, Hugo bathed his son, then went into the bathroom himself. Jeremy was playing on the bed when an idea occurred to him, and a mischievous look flashed across his huge eyes.
Online dating is all the rage right now, isnât it? he thought.
If Daddy chats with Pretty Lady every day, heâll start online dating as well.
Jeremy thought for a moment. Daddy never takes the initiative to talk to girls, though. Moreover, Pretty Lady has never met Daddy before, so she doesnât know how handsome Daddy is, and sheâll be too shy to make the first move.
Jeremy took the phone, his tiny lips curving upward.
Iâll kickstart things with Pretty Lady in Daddyâs place, then!
Jeremy held the phone and found Celiaâs number, then sent her a rose emoji.
Following that, he racked his brains for a pickup line.
He was young, but he could read and write well. He sent another message that read, âGood evening. Are you asleep?â
Meanwhile, Celia arrived at her apartment and had just taken a bath. When she heard the phone next to her beeping, she took her phone and glanced at the new message. It was almost 9.30PM. Who could it be from?
When she tapped into the message, she was surprised to find that it was from Jeremyâs father.
When she read the contents of the message, she was even more stunned.
Was this parent chatting with her?
âHello. Yes, Iâm still awake, she replied politely.
âMy son likes you a lot. Youâre a kind grill!â
When Celia saw the sentence, she couldnât help but chuckle. What was with the typo?
She suspected that the sender of the message wasnât Jeremyâs father but the boy himself, who kept trying to introduce his father to her.
Thank you! She decided not to expose Jeremy. Her foul mood tonight receded considerably when she saw his antics.
Jeremy was most likely behind the screen, for he was taking too long to reply to one message.
In the luxurious master bedroom. Jeremy tapped on his head, pouted, then bit his tiny lip. How do adults -usually chat?
What could he say in his fatherâs stead to catch Celiaâs attention?
âMy son says that youâre very pretty Jeremy sent another message, attaching another rose emoji at the end.
Celia found a book and started reading it as she patiently waited for Jeremy to send her a reply. When she

read the message, she smiled and responded, âThank you very much.
Just then, Hugoâs tall figure strode out of the bathroom. He was very particular about privacy in his sonâs presence, so he was already wearing black silk pajamas. When Hugo saw the boy looking at the phone wi his short legs swinging as he lay on the large bed, Hugo leaned in silently.
Hugo thought that Jeremy was playing some games on his phone, but he never expected his son to be earnestly typing out a message to send to someone.
Jeremy texted, âI want to meet you!â
After Jeremy hit the send button, he felt a drop of water plopping onto his forehead. He hastily looked up to see his father staring at him as he sent the message.
He hastily held the phone to his chest as he grinned. âI didnât do anything bad, Daddy.â
âAre you using my phone to send messages to that pretty lady?â Hugo saw through his sonâs behavior right
away.
Jeremy could only nod. âDonât be mad, Daddy. I just thought itâd be a good idea for you to chat more ofter with Pretty Lady, and when you meet each other in person, youâll fall in love.â
Hugo sighed in exasperation. Why did Jeremy like this girl so much?
âAlright, give me my phone. Iâll chat with her.â Hugo stretched his hand out.
âReally? You promise youâll chat with her?â
âYes!â
âPinky promise. Jeremy stuck out his pinky, initiating the gesture.
Hugo stuck out his pinky as well, then sealed the agreement with his son.
When it was done, Jeremy passed the phone to Hugo, then pulled up the blanket and lay down. âDaddy, Iâm going to sleep now. Have fun chatting with Pretty Lady!â
Hugo navigated to the messaging app and scrolled through his chat log, nearly chuckling in exasperation. Jeremy was only four years old, but he already knew his way around the ladies.
Just then, a new message came in. Iâm sorry, but Iâm quite busy these days. Letâs meet another time.â
By the looks of it, she had no intention of going out with him.
Hugo held his phone as he said to Jeremy, Tm going downstairs for some water. Go to sleep first.â
âOkay! Daddy, you have to be a little more passionate, and you should take the initiative. Only then will girls like you. Jeremy taught his father.
Hugo was speechless.
Did his son not know how popular he was?
âJust go to sleep!â With that, Hugo went downstairs with his phone.
Hugo sat on the couch, wondering if he should explain the situation to Celia via text.

However, after thinking about it, he decided that texting was too troublesome.
Also, he didnât fancy chatting like this. Hence, he decisively dialed her number.
Celia was lying on the bed, reading while she awaited another message. Unexpectedly, her phone began ringing.
She took up her phone, her heart skipping a beat. Why was Jeremy calling her?
She assumed it was none other than Jeremy, so even before she answered the call, she was already smiling. After picking it up, she said in a sweet voice, âHello! Is that you, cutie?â
âIâm his father.â A low and attractive manâs voice rang out..
Celiaâs face turned red in an instant, and her heartbeat gradually hastened.
What? Jeremyâs father?
âHello, Mr. Spencer,â Celia greeted, shock darting across her face. She realized a little too late that Jeremyâs last name was Spencer as well.
It wasnât a common name in the city. What were the odds that Jeremy shared the same last name with the man she hated the most?
âHello, my son was using my phone to send those messages to you just now. I hope it didnât cause too much trouble for you.â
âItâs fine, Iâm happy to chat with him. Celiaâs pretty face continued burning.
He must have read the messages his son sent to her. She hoped he wouldnât misunderstand.
She was just fooling around with Jeremy, and she didnât mean it any other way.
âHeâs still young, so please forgive him. I hope your husband wonât take it the wrong way.â Hugo sat on the couch, realizing he had relaxed quite a bit while chatting with this girl.
Was it because her voice was very similar to that womanâs?
When Celia heard that, she burst out laughing. âHusband? I donât have a husband.â
âI saw you carrying a little girl at the museum last time. Wasnât that your daughter?â Hugo asked.
Celia immediately came to her senses, surprised that Jeremyâs father had noticed her.
She explained, âNo, that wasnât my child. That was my friendâs daughter.â
Hugo was slightly surprised. âReally? I thought you were married.â
Celia couldnât help but be a little nosy as she asked him, I heard from Jeremy that youâre raising him. alone, is that right?â
Hugo never thought that Jeremy would tell her everything. He replied, âYes. His mother is gone.â
