Chapter 706
Substitutee Marriage: Fallingg For My Ugly Wifee
âWhat do you find so funny?â Rhea snapped.
âYouâre telling me to leave him? I love Marcus deeply. Why would I ever leave? You want to take my
place? Donât even think about it,â Millie replied, her words carefully chosen to provoke Rhea.
She wanted to get back at her. Rheaâs closeness to Marcus in recent days had been a source of
distress, and now she had an opportunity to vent her frustration.
Rheaâs eyes widened in shock as she stammered, âWhat did you say?â
Millieâs harsh words were unexpected.
âAre you having trouble hearing?â Millie snapped. âIâll say it again. I love him deeply, and Iâll never leave
him.â
âYouâre behaving ridiculously,â Rhea retorted, her voice dripping with disdain. âIâve already told you that
heâs been with me all this time. Marcus lied to you. Heâs not on a business trip. Heâs just tired of you.
You should leave Preagend as soon as possible.â
Despite the pain in her heart from Marcusâ betrayal, Millie refused to be cowed by Rheaâs words.
âYou must be the one whoâs deaf. Iâve said that I love him. Whether or not he loves me doesnât matter,
as long as I can be his wife. But those who pester him constantly will never become his wife.â
With those final words, Millie hurried away, leaving Rhea fuming, her heart pounding in rage.
She silently cursed Millie for her shamelessness.
Once home, Millie answered a phone call. Fiona had always seen her as a problem and wanted to get
rid of her. To protect herself, Millie had to find a way to expose Fionaâs true identity.
âMiss Brown, Iâve gathered all the information you requested. Itâs been sent to you,â the voice on the
other end of the line said.
Upon receiving the delivery, Millie opened it to find the hotel check-in records of Fiona and Giovanni,
with the most recent entry from just a day ago.
No matter how much Leon cared for Fiona, if he were to find out that she had slept with another man,
heâd be livid.
Fiona had been growing increasingly bold and arrogant lately. Whenever she encountered Millie in their
community, she would carry herself with a haughty air and flash a mocking smile, treating Millie as if
she were a complete failure.
Early in the morning, Fiona completed her makeup and prepared to leave, knowing that Leon was
waiting for her downstairs.
She had noticed lately that he seemed distracted, spending less and less time with her.
Fearing that she might lose him, Fiona took extra care with her appearance that day, hoping to
recapture his heart.
She was straying further from the course that Lois had set for her.
Loisâ plan had been for Leon to grow to despise Fiona and leave her, but Fiona had a different idea in
mind; she wanted him to become obsessed with her.
Fiona knew this was a unique opportunity, and she wasnât about to waste it. She dreamed of marrying
Leon and living a life filled with luxury and fame.
