Chapter 1288
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1288
Sylvia stopped asking more questions.
The car also became quiet. A good while passed, and there was only the sound of Flint fussing about.
Odell watched her focus on teasing Flint, and his brows subconsciously knitted. His expression also turned cold. He simply
pursed his lips and remained silent.
Sylvia only noticed his expression when the car drove to the door of the house. She looked at his cold and sullen face and asked
curiously, âWhatâs wrong?â
âNothing.â After saying that, he pushed open the door, got out of the car, and walked forward without looking back.
Sylvia was stunned.
In her arms, Flint wrinkled his little brows and said, âI think Daddy is angry.â
She was not blind; she could see it too.
However, neither Flint nor she provoked him on the way back. Why would he get angry?
Sylvia got out of the car with Flint in her arms.
Only Aunt Tonya and Sebastian were in the living room. Liam and Isabel were both in their room.
Where could Odell have gone?
Sylvia carried Flint to the second floor and put him outside the door of the childrenâs room. âFlint, you go and play with your sister
while Mommy goes to find Daddy.â
Flint agreed obediently and pushed the door open to find his sister.
Sylvia thought about the briefcase that Odell brought back and assumed that he still had some work to do, so she immediately
went to the study.
However, the study was empty. Where was he?
She walked out again and went to their bedroom.
As soon as she pushed the door open, she saw him leaning against the wall next to her. His arms were crossed, and his deep
gaze looked at her. His eyes were clearly cold and filled with displeasure. He seemed to be waiting for her. Sylvia asked in
confusion, âWhat's wrong with you?â âNothing.â His voice was also cold. She could not help but walk up to him and ask, âDid you
encounter trouble at work?â
âNo.â
She was confused. âThen, why do you look so upset?â
He pursed his lips coldly and said nothing.
Sylvia was a little annoyed. She patted him and said,â Odell, if you have something to say, just say it. Don't be like this.â
Odell pursed his lips and looked at her for a while but still remained silent.
Sylvia suddenly ran out of patience. âForget it then.â
She was just about to turn around and walk out, but before she could take a step, a long arm reached over and wrapped around
her waist.
Sylvia was instantly pulled closer to him. Her face nearly collided with his chest. She frowned and looked up at him.
He was staring at her with a cold gaze. âDo you not want to talk to me that much?â
She was dumbfounded. âWhat do you mean | don't want to talk to you?â He was clearly the one who refused to talk to her
instead. Odell pinched her chin and looked at her coldly. âHow many days have we not seen each other?â âAbout four or five
days. Why?â âHave you called me the past few days?â
âI've sent you messages.â
âHow many?â
Sylvia thought about it. âTwo or three times.â
He said coldly, âOnly two times, and both were just you replying to messages that | sent to you.â
Sylvia was speechless. Did that matter?â
âDo you not want to talk to me?â he asked again.
Sylvia said, âT-that's not it. | didn't call you or send you messages because | didn't want to disturb your work.
