Chapter 1289
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1289 âSo, you don't miss me at all, do you?â
â|.... How can you say that | don't miss you?â They were already husband and wife. Were they supposed to stick to each other all
day? Besides, he was the one who was always busy with work.
Sylvia frowned as she looked at him, confused and speechless.
Odell looked at her coldly. âToday, Flint went all the way to the office to find me because he missed me. Why didnât you come to
me even once?â
She was dumbfounded.
âThis afternoon , you only went to the company to find Flint. On the way back, you only focused on playing with him and didn't
ask about me at all. Do you even care about me?â
She either painted or spent time with Madam Carter and the children all day. He went out to work every day, but she never went
to the office once to see him!
The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. He pinched her face again and said coldly, âSylvia, am | just a husband on
paper to you?â
Sylvia was speechless. Her eyes were wide open, and her
expression was stunned.
At the same time, an unnamed fire burned within her.
She reacted quickly and said sullenly, âOdell Carter, it's enough if you're too busy to come home these days, but now you're
blaming it on me? Do you know how much Grandma and the three children need company? Do you know how much | have to do
at home alone?*.
She had a job too, but she also had to take care of Grandma and the three children. It was bad enough that he was too busy to
go home, but he even blamed her for not going to see him.
Sylvia got angrier the more she thought about it and could not help but raise her voice. âDo you think I'm a superhuman?â
The manâs gloomy expression instantly changed, and his gaze flickered.
Ashort while later, he avoided her gaze and said, âYou could've at least taken the time to send me a text message or make a
phone call.â
Sylvia asked, âWhy didn't you call or message me instead?
â| did message you.â
Sylviaâs throat choked up.
The air became silent as they stared at each other.
After a long time, Sylvia compromised and raised her hand to smack him. âLet go.â
âWhere are you going? Are you going to find those little limpets again?â His voice was displeased. Sylvia said angrily, âI'm going
to Grandma, okay?â
He looked at her and said, âGrandma has Aunt Tonya and Sebastian with her. You don't need to be with her constantly.â
Sylvia finally said, âI want to go out for a walk alone.â
As soon as she finished, he pinched her waist tightly and picked her up. She was pinned to the bed before she could react.
He cupped her face and said coldly, âYou're not going anywhere today other than staying by my side.â
Then, he lowered his head and kissed her.
Sylvia wanted to push him away but failed, and she could not speak even if she wanted to. She could only be forced to accept
his domineering forcefulness.
The movement in the room continued until it was dark.
On the slightly messy bed, Sylvia was wrapped in his arms, unable to go anywhere. She felt the heat from his chest and turned
around with a red face. âI want to go to
the toilet.â
He pinched her face. âHold it in.â
Sylvia stared at him.
He curled his lips. âIt's your punishment for not caring about me.â
She glared at him speechlessly.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door.
âDaddy and Mommy, it's time for dinner.â Flint's childish voice rang out.
Sylviaâs eyes flickered, and she was just about to get up. However, before she could move an inch, his arm pulled her back
down.
He wrapped his arm around her and said to Flint, âYour mother and | are going to rest for a while. You go eat with your siblings
first.â
âOkay,â Flint answered and went away.
Sylvia heard the sound of his little feet stomping on the floor happily as he left. She looked at Odell again. âFlint is still small. He
needs someone to watch him when he eats.
He said, âLiam and Isabel will watch him. Aunt Tonya and Sebastian will also take care of him. Thereâs no need for you to
constantly look after him.â
