Chapter 1435
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1435
They were empty-handed. It was clear they did not catch Sherry.
John frowned.
Matthew asked angrily, âWhere is she? Where did Sherry go?â
The two guards bowed their heads toward John, and one of them replied in a low voice, âWe didnât manage to catch her. She got
away.â
Matthew's eyes flickered as he looked carefully at John.
Janine then said, âMaster Stockton, that wild girl is too cunning. Donât worry. As long as she dares to go home, we'll send her to
you immediately and make her
apologize to you.â
John pursed his lips and looked at them with a smile. âI'll be grateful if you would do that, Mr. and Mrs. Fowler.â
Seeing him smile and how his tone did not seem to be angry, Matthew and Janine were instantly relieved.
Matthew quickly said, âYes, as long as she dares to go back, we'll send her to you even if we have to tie her up.â
John said nothing and turned back to the hotel.
Julie, who followed him out, went in with him.
Matthew and Janineâs faces suddenly became angry again.
Janine cursed in fury, âThat b*stard girl, why didnât she just die two years ago?â
Matthew would have usually admonished her, but he was
also full of annoyance at this moment. âThat wild thing didnât get any better after disappearing for two years. She even learned to
steal!â 1
Jake sighed. âI told you. That wench grew up in the countryside. Her roots are rotten. Thereâs no helping her at all. You shouldnât
have picked her up back then.â
In the night, a pastel pink car was speeding.
In the car, a young man wearing a black leather jacket and a pair of sunglasses was firmly gripping the steering wheel with both
hands.
Sherry sat in the passenger seat lifelessly. She asked, Why are you here, Carl?â
(
Carl curled his lips. âYou dared to use my name. If | donât come, Iâm afraid youâd have ruined my reputation.â
Sherry rolled her eyes. âYou think too much.â
Carl snorted. âDo you think | donât know that you used my name to get Master Carrel to ask the Stockton family for an
invitation?â
â| didnât say you didnât know. | meant that your
reputation is already rotten. You donât need me to ruin it
for you.â
Screech.
The car suddenly stopped at the side of the road.
Carl took off his sunglasses and narrowed his beautiful almond eyes with displeasure. âSherry, | saved you out of the kindness of
my heart, but what is that attitude? Would you believe me if | say Iâd drop you back immediately?â
Sherry was in a bad mood and could not be bothered to bicker with him. She said bluntly, âIf you send me back, I'll call your mom
immediately.â
Carl's expression changed, and he suddenly smiled. â
Okay, let's talk amicably. Donât bring my mom into this.â
Sherry raised her brows. âJust drive and take me to the hospital.â
âSure thing,â Carl answered obediently, but his gaze was somewhat wicked as he glanced at her.
Then, he slammed on the gas pedal.
Vroom.
The car instantly shot forward. The back of Sherryâs head hit the seat.
Her face was annoyed. âCarl Sager, do you want to die?â Carl threw a wink at her. âYeah. Why donât you beat me up?â
Sherry pursed her lips. âJust you wait.â
Carl laughed and sped up the car again.
In a short while, the car stopped outside a hospital.
Sherry pushed open the door and got out of the car.
Carl suddenly arrived at her side and picked her up without a word.
Sherry frowned at him. âPut me down. | can walk by myself.â
Carl sighed. âDonât put on a brave front now. | wonât laugh at you.â
Then, he took a big step inside.
