Chapter 1436
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1436
Sherry pursed her lips and said nothing else.
It was already late at night when she finished getting bandaged. She sat in the car and leaned against the car seat wearily,
wanting to close her eyes and sleep.
However, even after a long time, the car did not start.
She could not help but open her eyes, which locked into a pair of beautiful almond eyes.
Carl was right in front of her, appraising her with a hand on his chin.
Sherry frowned at him. âGet away from me.â
âTsk... Sherry, | just saved your life. Is that your attitude toward your savior?â Carl spoke and approached closer.
Sherry curled her lips and raised her fist at the same time.
Carl's expression changed as he immediately sat back in the driverâs seat.
However, he still did not drive. He lowered his seat so he was almost lying down with his long legs casually resting on the
steering wheel.
With his head resting on his arm, he tilted his head and looked at Sherry. âArenât you here for business? Why did you use my
identity to attend the Stocktonsâ party? You
were even chased out by the security guards. Did you do something behind my back?â
Sherry closed her eyes wearily and said, âItâs none of your business.â
âYou used my identity.â He narrowed his eyes. âAnd you're my future wife. If anything happens to you, I'll be all alone in the
future.â
Sherry frowned in annoyance. âI'll call your mom if you say any more nonsense.â
âGeez, fine. Did you raise a man here behind my back?â
Sherry opened her eyes and took her phone out of her bag.
Carl immediately sat up. The seat beneath him bounced back. He quickly said, âDonât be mad, donât be mad. I'll drive you back to
the hotel now.â
Then, he started the car.
Sherry put the phone away as well. She glanced at him again, then leaned back and closed her eyes.
After a while, just as the car was about to drive to the hotel, she suddenly thought of something and said, â Wait, donât go back to
that hotel yet.â
Carl slowed down. âWhy not?â
Sherry asked him, âWhich hotel are you staying in now?â
Carl's eyes lit up. âWhy? Do you want to stay with me? I'll
tell you now, but thereâs only one bedroom in my suite. If you go there, you can only bunk with me.â
Sherry was in no mood to bicker with him and simply said, âJust go to your hotel first.â
Carl's lips curled up happily. âSure thing.â
He picked up speed.
After passing through several traffic lights, the car drove to a five-star hotel. Carlâs room was in the top
presidential suite.
Sherry took out her ID card, got a room for herself, and went into the elevator with him.
The space in the elevator was limited. Carl stood lazily opposite her, leaning against the wall. His eyes flickered from her injured
knee to her face.
He asked with a smile, âSherry, did you come with me here because you were afraid that someone would find you in the hotel
you're staying in?â
Sherry pursed her lips and ignored him.
Carl looked at her obviously depressed face. His eyes flickered, and he said, âTell me who that person is and I'll take care of him
for you. I'll make sure he stays away from you in the future.â
Sherry looked up at him. âJohn Stockton.â Carl paused. âWho?â
