Chapter 1504
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1504
â| told her, but she refused,â Julie said with a sigh.
âHmph! She just came back into the family, and sheâs already keeping my granddaughter from me. If she continues to stay under
this roof, there won't be any place for me and you in the future,â Madam Stockton grumbled in anger and disgust.
Julie immediately consoled her, âMother, you shouldnât say something like that. John will never do that.â
Madam Stockton argued, âHis mind is full of that wretched woman! He has forgotten about his mother!â
It was then that a noise came from the living room next door.
Madam Stocktonâs gaze shifted, and she curled her lips.
Julie pursed her lips and exchanged a quick glance with Madam Stockton.
The two ladies then went closer to the wall to eavesdrop.
In the living room next door, Sherry saw two familiar faces as soon as she walked in: Matthew and Janine.
After an initially blank expression, Sherry regained her composure and sat on the couch opposite the duo. She leaned back and
crossed her arms before.she scoffed and
asked, âMr. and Mrs. Fowler, what brings you two here?â
Matthew and Janine remained standing, and Sherryâs attitude put a frosty look on their faces.
Matthew said angrily, âSherry, we are your parents. What is with that attitude? Stand up and talk to us!â
Sherry argued, âI donât remember having a father and a mother.â
âYOU-!â Matthew choked on his own emotions.
Janine said coldly, âI donât care if you acknowledge us as your parents or not, but we are still related by blood. If we didnât give
birth to you, you wouldn't be here today talking to us like this.â
Sherry scoffed. âShould | thank you for giving birth to me? Should | thank you for swapping me for Shannon? Well, | guess |
should thank you for hating me because | lived in some rural village when | was with you. | should thank you for ignoring me all
those years, and thank you for letting Shannon take advantage of me. Oh, | shouldnât forget about Shannon, your precious
DAUGHTER, trying to kill me!â
Sherry expressed her âgratitudeâ relentlessly which made Janineâs expression freeze.
Both Matthew and Janine responded poorly but were silenced by Sherryâs claims.
After Madam Stockton overheard the conversation from
next door, she frowned too. She might not have the best impression of Sherry, but after listening to the
conversation, Sherryâs parents were not saints themselves either.
Julie captured the old ladyâs expression. She sighed softly and said, âI didnât know Ms. Fowler had such a poor relationship with
her parents. That explains a lot about her unrestrained attitude.â
In other words, she had no manners.
Madam Stockton reacted with disgust on her face. âSheâs just a woman with no manners.â
Julieâs eyes gleamed but did not continue the topic.
Besides Julie and Madam Stockton, there was another man at the door listening to the conversation inside.
Sherryâs sarcastic expression of gratitude put a smile on the manâs face. The woman had always been good at arguing.
Sherryâs voice sounded from inside the room. âTo what do | owe this visit? Oh, wait... How did you two know that | am here?â
Both Matthew and Janine were taken aback by her question.
Sherry continued, âDid Julie tell you?â
âNo,â Matthew answered.
âThen, it must be Madam Stockton,â Sherry said.
Madam Stockton grunted when she heard Sherry. âSheâs as cunning as a fox!â
Julie said in a small voice, âMs. Fowler is indeed smarter than we thought.â
John narrowed his eyes and the expression on his face turned grim.
Matthew then looked at Sherry and said, âThat's not important. We are here to talk to you about something else.â
}
âWhat is it? Do you want me to leave John? Leave the Stocktons' residence?â Sherry knew what her parents wanted before they
even spoke.
A quick thought later, she added, âWhat did she give you? Or did she threaten you with the company? Or both?â
