Chapter 1793
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1793
Liam's cool voice came from the phone. âI'll show you again.â
Caprice nodded happily.
The two of them only spoke twice in the past five minutes. The topic was a mystery.
However, Capriceâs lips were curled all the way, and she was really enjoying herself.
Noticing something out of the blue, Sherry looked at John. âHas Caprice been calling Liam often?â
âYeah.â
Sherry narrowed her eyes.
Liam was a cool boy. He never really got close to people other than his family, yet he had the patience to deal with Capriceâs
affection.
Caprice was a strange girl as well. In terms of appearance, Liam was indeed handsome, but his younger brother, Flint, was just
as good-looking and had a brighter personality.
Flint was also around the same age as Caprice, yet the girl did not even bat an eyelid at him. She just loved to be around Liam
or stare at him through the screen.
Sherry found it baffling.
âOdell called me a while ago,â John said all of a sudden.
Sherry asked, âWhat was it about?â
She had contacted Sylvia a while ago as well and informed her of the situation here in Coastrock, thus Sylvia should not be
worried about her anymore.
John pursed his lips. âHe wants to arrange for a marriage between Liam and Caprice.â
Arranged marriage? At this age?!
Sherry was shocked. âMy Caprice is only three years old!â
Liam was only ten years old, yet Odell was already proposing an arranged marriage.
Why the rush?
John raised a brow. âI think Liamâs parents know how bad his temper is, and other than Caprice, no girl. would ever want to
marry him. Besides, our Caprice is adorable, obedient, and beautiful. They may be afraid that some other guys will snatch her
heart in the future.â
Sherry was rendered speechless. Her daughter was adorable and obedient, and Liam was not that bad either.
âWhat did you tell him?â
âHave a guess.
Sherry looked at him.
He curled his lips âI said Caprice is still young. We'll discuss it when she grows older.â
He did not know how Liam would turn out in the future. The reason why he allowed Caprice to contact Liam so often was that he
was worried that the girl would miss her mother too much, so he let the girl call Liam to distract her for a while.
He planned to implement some rules on her video calls once they head back to Glenchester. He could not allow her daughter to
concentrate solely on Liam, and he wanted to prevent her from being hurt by the boy in the future.
Sherry nodded.
Children knew nothing about love. Caprice liked being with Liam maybe because she enjoyed playing with him.
As for the arranged marriage, it would be a topic for another time.
There were several expensive mansions located further away from Sherryâs apartment.
One of the mansions was extra quiet, and only the whirring of winds could be heard at the window. The living room had a dim
lamp on.
In his titillating pink shirt, Carl leaned on the couch as he crossed his legs on the table.
There were several uncorked wines on the table with some empty glasses by the side.
He was drinking from a bottle. The red liquor flowed down his throat, and only a small portion of trickled out of the corner of his
mouth over his firm jaw to the knot of his rolling throat and settled in his collar.
While his eyes narrowed as he drank, scenes with Sherry flashed in his mind.
The first time he saw Sherry was at the office. His mother had dragged him to the office and arranged a meeting with her, telling
him to learn how to manage a company from her.
Sherry had helped the Sagers complete several big projects that were deemed impossible to complete.
Carl originally thought a woman with such methods and ideas must be old, but she turned out to be a young and beautiful lady.
Her loveliness was different from what he anticipated.
