“That’s impossible. She was living in your South Side Recuperation Center. She only left the hospital when you had your birthday party.”

Huo Mian didn’t know if Secretary Zeng knew about her daughter’s eavesdropping of her, so she said the words to test the waters.

“Secretary, if your daughter truly went missing, it’s a big deal. I suggest you get our local police to search for her,” Director Wu said these words. But did the secretary dare to ask the police to search for his daughter?

“I’m still trying to figure out the situation. I don’t know if Rou went for a trip on a whim or was kidnapped. So I don’t want to act rashly. If she was kidnapped, getting the police to search for her would alert the kidnappers. I’ll think about it.”
