Inside the twins’ room, Pudding lost her desire to sleep so she lightly shook her sister.

Little Bean covered herself with her blanket, not allowing a chance for her sister to speak.

She actually wanted to tell her father but she knew he loved her mother dearly. If he knew she was suspicious of her own mother, she was afraid he would have a bad opinion of her.

Pudding had a long, confused monologue with herself for over an hour. Only after was she able to slowly fall back asleep.

The next morning during breakfast, everyone was very considerate of Huo Mian’s feelings.

“Mian, your body is weak. You should eat more but make sure you eat more mild tasting food. Also, you should get more nutrition.” Qin Chu’s mother had made Huo Mian dates and tremella congee.

“Thanks Mom.”

“Child, no need to be so polite.”

“Honey, are you going to work soon.”

“Mhm.” Qin Chu nodded.

“Then can I go to my mom’s place alone? I miss my mom,” Huo Mian said.

“Yeah. I’ll have the driver and bodyguards go with you.”

“Daddy. Although we have school today, can we go to grandma’s place with Mommy?” Little Bean begged.

“No. The teacher said we have politics today. We must go,” Pudding rejected Little Bean’s suggestion.

“You two should be good girls and go to school. I’ll have a surprise for you after school.”
