Chapter 405 * You're heartless *

Kate raised her hand, warped it around his neck, and kissed his face.

“Darling, you're not dreaming; I'm back to you, back to my darling.” As

her words fell, David hugged her tightly.

He hugged her so tightly that he desired to melt her into his bones and

blood. For a long time, no sounds came out of his mouth. The room fell

into dead silence. Only tears roll down everyone's cheeks.

Kate hugged him back. She was breathless when he embraced her so

tightly, but she didn’t stop him or push him away. David caressed her

body.

Kate stroked his head gently. She knew her accident left a deep wound

in his heart, and it's going to take a long time before she could heal

them.

“Hmm, I'm here,” Kate gently responded to him every time he called

her; he felt this was a dream. He hoped she would make him believe

this is not a dream; it's real, she’s real. “Darling, I'm here” Kate didn't

stop.

“you're heartless,” David accused her of sleeping so long and leaving

him all alone. He sobbed in a low voice, but Kate was feeling his

shaking body.

“Yeah, I'm heartless.” Kate used her gentle tone to coax him.

felt, do you know I died every day?” David continued to complain in his

aggressive tone; Kate smiled and cried simultaneously; she let him

pour his pain out; he needs to let out the pain he held inside his heart

which is only harming his body.

“No, darling, I love you, only you. How can I not love you? You're my

world, people say their world resolved their loved one, but my world is

you" Kate bit his shoulder in punishment.

David felt alive when he felt her bite on his shoulder; she had little

strength. Her tiny teeth felt like a feather to him. He stroked her head

“don’t tire yourself,” as his heart anguished for her.

David finally let her go and leaned back to look at her face; he didn't

dare to blink, not even for a second; he was afraid she would vanish,

and he must see her lying on the bed lifelessly, which was his most

significant punishment of life.

“Darling, I missed you. Do you miss me? Kate smiled. Bright as ever,

David felt the entire world suddenly brightened with stars with her one

smile.

He raised his hand and rubbed her lips. It felt real. She has finally

returned to him; now she will smile at him, get angry with him, run

around him like a spoiled rabbit; he could see her move around him; he

felt God gave him his treasure back.

“You little liar, you are lying,” David murmured. Her sweet words

triggered his grievances. As he sobbed more sadly, Kate smiled

helplessly. What could she say since he already wants to scold her so

severely?

She shook her head. “Yeah, yeah, I'm a liar, but I missed you" Kate

rubbed her head against his chest like an obedient rabbit; David

snorted, but his body was more honest than him; he lowered his head

and kissed her head lovingly.

Kate raised her and kissed away his tears “darling, sorry for keeping

you waiting, sorry for leaving you alone when you needed me the most,

sorry for scaring you, sorry for keep sleeping for so long.”

Kate used her sweet voice on him. Though she was saying to coax

him, everything was true; she knows he was in pain because of her.

David suddenly tightened his grip on her waist, and suddenly he cried

like a baby whom someone wronged, and now that person is

apologizing to him; Kate was the tired one. She should rest, but when

she saw his crying face, she forgot all her tiredness.

Kate leaned over and hugged him. David burnished his head, the

hollow of her shoulder and chest. She stroked his back; Kate could feel

heart tightly to punish her.

“Sorry darling, but I promise, I'm not going anywhere, not even for a

David nodded his head vigorously and got off the bed and helped her

stand up; Kate was too weak, so David supported her body with him

and let her stand on his feet for a while.

our baby was sleeping too much like its mom,” she teased when she

felt the overweight in her lower body; she never considered being

pregnant can wear off anyone this much.
