(Devil’s Marriage Trap) - Ace & Nina - Chapter 28 - Fate...!!!
CEO Husband's Crazy Love For His Little Wife
He has a reason, believes in him, and does what he ordered; for now, it
will be best if we can stop your father from finding the child.â
Theo was much calmer than Mike; he thought deeply rather than
impulsively.
âThen do you want me to see him torture my brother for another
decade?â Mike shouted at Theo, his heart getting stabbed every time
he saw his brother's blood sucked away by that monster.
Theo was silent. âIf you donât want your brother's blood sucked away by
your father for his entire life, you have to bear everything for now
because patience will give the reward we always wanted.â Theo's
answer instantly calmed Mike's messy thoughts and his rage.
He looked at Theo with a meaningful expression. âWhat do you mean?
do you know something I don't?"
âYour brother put everything on fast forward because he is also tired
and needs to free himself from this suffering; just wait a little bit; you will
see the result in a few days.â
Theo knows Mike knows only something Ace wants him to see; he
knows how deep Ace was making his roots; everything needs time; Ace
needs time and the right time.
âThen, can you promise me something?â Mike suddenly asked; Theo
looked at Mike as if trying to find what was in his mind.
âMake something for me,â Mike murmured in a low voice that only
reached Theo's ears, and Theo was shocked; this boy was even darker
than his brother; it seemed both brothers had the same thought.
âDonât worry, when the time comes; I'll hand you something even
stronger, but for now, go back and play your role; everyone needs to
play their role in gaining something faster; without hard work, nothing
can be achieved.â
Theo walked inside his lab and closed the door behind him, not before
he scolded Mike.
âNext time, if you dare to burst into my office without proper protection,
I'll surely torment you with something special.â
Theo shut the door in Mike's face, and after a while, Mike left the villa
and drove the car toward the airport instead of his brother's estate; just
like Theo said, he has a role to fulfill, so he could help his brother
instead of being an emotional burden to him.
When he was about to board the plane, he sent a message to his
brother,
âBrother, I'm leaving for S country, donât worry; even if I have to protect
him with my life, I won't let that beast harm him.â
This was his promise to himself; since he couldn't do anything for his
brother, he would do everything to protect his precious nephew.
Both of them parted that day,
When Ace received the message, he smiled gently, he usually doesnât
smile, but this brother of his always made him feel emotions in his cold
heart, he knows why Mike didn't come to him, it seems the boy got his
answer, and he knew Ace wouldn't tell him because he would blame
himself again.
Mike arrived in S country; he met his nephew from far away; the little
boy was just like how he and his brother were in childhood, which made
him even more emotional,
This child's smile made him even sadder because, like Noah, his
brother didn't even have the right to smile and enjoy his childhood, but
his nephew was a little chubbier than his brother, making Mike a little
helpless.
Mike followed Nina and Noah, even though there were unknown
shadows around Nina and Noah, and Mike could feel it; he knew even
though David Xiver left, he didnât leave his sister and her son
unprotected just like they expected,
Sometimes Mike envied David Xiver, he was alone, yet he stood from
nothing and made the world bow in front of him with his strength and
power, but he had nothing; all he had was his belief.
He believed he could do it, and he did, yet he and his brother couldn't
even draft a monster who was also their father; it's not like they
couldn't, but the man had their weakness, their mother.
If Mike were not careful, then David's people would've noticed, but Mike
came alone in S country, which proved he was confident; even Ace
believed Mike could do it.
Mike avoided David's people, but they were also sharp, that's why Mike
could only protect them from far away, yet at least he could update his
brother about Nina and Noah.
Months passed by, and Mike stayed behind while Ace did what he
needed to do.
Theo finally came up with a solution, everything was ready, and Theo
just needed to test it. He didnât want to try it directly on Ace because he
was afraid the answer might have some side effects; he didnât want to
take the risk, while Ace pushed it aside.
He wanted Theo to test it on him; he didnât care even if he suffered
from side effects; he just wanted to try his luck; he knew his fate was
not great, he might not survive or find the result from it, but he still
wanted to take a risk.
Theo gave up in front of Ace's stubbornness and finally got ready to
test it on Ace.
âStill, at least think about it again; things might not be what we think.â
Theo still wanted to change Ace's mind.
âDo you have the antidote to undo this?â Ace asked; he knew
everything might end with him.
"Yes, but it will take time to work.â Theo was not afraid this medicine
might fail, but he was worried Ace might suffer.
âIt canât be worse than what I've been going through all my life.â Ace
was confident; as long he lived, no pain could be worse than he had
gone through.
Theo took Ace to the secret room. Ace prepared for the worst; he stood
beside the wall and tied his hands with chains, he looked at his legs,
and Theo understood. Theo tied them up for Ace.
Finally, he opened his black suitcase and brought a small syringe and
bottle of blue medicine. He poured it into the syringe. Theo looked at
Ace with a nervous expression.
âBro....." He wanted to warn Ace; as a doctor, he knew the pain would
go to the extreme where he might lose his senses and hurt himself.
"Just do it," Ace said without hesitation.
In Ace's mind, if this worked, he would've been free from everything
and openly could go to his son and protect him and win the woman who
bore the most precious person for him; he just hoped his luck wouldn't
betray him.
âIf this goes wrong, I want you to give me the antidote and leave this
room, donât come here until I calm down,â Ace warned Theo; he didn't
want to show his ugly side or harm Theo in any way since it was his
fate; he needed to bear everything alone.
Theo wanted to refuse, but he just nodded and understood why Ace
said this.
Theo stared at Ace's face for a long time, and finally, he did what he
needed to do; he saw how these watery liquids entered Ace's veins,
and everything went in.
He pulled out the injection and stood in front of Ace. A few moments
passed, and nothing happened. When Theo and Ace thought about
sighing in relief, sweat appeared on Ace's face, and he was feeling
strange.
Soon, Ace felt his body shaking, and an unknown pain started in his
entire body. He gritted his teeth and tried to bear the pain, but the pain
rose the more he tried.
And then there was a sharp pain in his heart that the person who bore
pain couldn't even handle, and he screamed, âAhhhhhhh.â
The entire room shook with sound as if it didnât come from a human
instead of an animal who roared when he was in extreme pain.
Theo looked at Ace anxiously; even though he wanted to ask, he
couldn't; he couldnât understand what went wrong. Ace tried to break
his hands from the chain as he kept screaming.
Theo understood what was happening; the medicine didnât work.
Instead, it backfired on Ace's body, the thing in his body seemed to get
excited, and now everything was possible; if he couldn't control Ace's
pain, it could even take Ace's life.
Theo grabbed his bag again, took out another red liquor bottle from it,
and put it on the syringe, but he couldn't even get near Ace; the way
Ace was suffering and screaming broke Theo's confidence.
There were tears in his eyes, he was at least 50% confident in this
antidote, but it seems he failed; he not only died but even put Ace in
worse pain than death.
Ace had borne everything and every pain silently; he gritted his teeth,
yet seeing his mistake screams, Theo knew what Ace was feeling.
He knew Ace could hurt him if he went near, but he needed to inject
him with the antidote, so he stepped forward and stabbed him with the
injection. The moment he pushed the liquid into his body, Ace went
Theo with full force, making him fall a foot away from him.
Thank God Ace was caged in these chains. Otherwise, Theo would be
in danger because Ace was not in his right mind now; he lost all sense
and all reason; he couldn't even recognize himself and remember
anything, let alone Ace.
Theo stared at Ace for a long time; Ace might never remember that day;
Theo cried like a hopeless soul for Ace; he never once shed tears, not
even for his family, because he had never seen his loved one in such
pain, yet that day he cried and sobbed loudly for Ace.
Theo left the room, leaving Ace to scream and cry in pain.
