Chapter 215
30 Days till I Divorce My Husband (Estrella and Jason)
Chapter 215 Listening to Kristinâs words, Jason slid off his wire-rimmed glasses and massaged his temples.
Kristin added, âTake some time to think about it. If you want to be with Estrella, you need to have a serious talk with her. But you must let go of the past completely, and truly accept her child as your own.â
Jason remained silent for a long moment before giving a noncommittal âhmmâ in response.
Kristin, despite her tough love, felt a pang of remorse. It was her son, after all, and her maternal instincts tugged at her heartstrings. She patted Jason on the shoulder reassuringly and said, âGo home, son. Your Aunts and I have things covered here.â
With Kristinâs insistence, Jason finally agreed to leave.
Watching his retreating figure, Kristin called out, âThink it over when you get home.â
Jason waved without turning around and headed toward the elevator.
Alone in the hallway, Kristin sighed helplessly. She didnât push Jason towards or away from divorce because she knew her son better than anyone else. His determination and choices were his own, and as his mother, all she could do was gently guide him on critical matters.
It wasnât until Jasonâs silhouette had long disappeared from sight that Kristin turned to the hospital room.
Jason, hands in his pockets, stepped into the elevator without a word. He had accep Bryceâs account of events without question, not bothering to explain his side or spea how he nearly lost his life because of Estrella.
The next day, when Estrella heard that Keith from the Nelson family had been hospitaliz her thoughts immediately went to Jason and Bryce.
In the dining room, Estrella looked at Bryce and asked, âIs this about you or Jason?â
Jesse sat across from Estrella, feeding Isaac and keeping him entertained. Bryce replied nonchalantly, âI just told them what happened three years ago. The responsibility lies with Jason.â
âSmart move,â Jesse said, giving Bryce a thumbs-up. âItâs important to set the record straight, so they donât blame Estrella for having a child without considering what Jason did.â
While Jesse spoke, Estrella covered Isaacâs ears with her hands.
08:04 Chapter 215 Isaac, ever the obedient child, didnât try to remove Estrellaâs hands and simply watched Bryce and Jesse with a smile that crinkled his eyes into slits.
Jesse melted at the sight. âEstrella, your kid is too cute. Human toddlers are so much fun.â Estrella teased back, âWell, donât just envy. Get a move on.â
âIâve made up my mind. After the New Year, Iâll have a bunch myself,â Jesse declared.
Estrella nearly spit out her soup at Jesseâs remark, while Bryce raised his thumb in admiration, âYouâve got guts.â These women, each more capable of stirring up a storm than the last.
After praising Jesse, Bryce added, âI think Jason might be starting to waver. Iâll add a little more fuel to the fire, and soon, Estrella, youâll be free.â
Estrella smiled serenely, sensing that resolution was near.
After the meal, as Estrella drove home with Isaac, she spotted Kristin standing on the roadside not far from the Dorvoldsâ place, beside a white Porsche, apparently waiting for her.
Slowing down, Estrella pulled over and got out. She asked in surprise. âKristin, what are you doing here?â
âI was waiting for you,â Kristin said, her voice heavy with emotion. âYesterday, I heard. some things from Bryce. I feel too ashamed to set foot in the Dorvold family to your parents.â
As Kristin finished speaking, Isaac opened the car window from the back seat and cheerfully called out, âGrandma.â
Isaacâs warmth and generosity matched Estrellaâs perfectly.
At Isaacâs call, Kristinâs eyes welled up, and she responded with a firm âHello!â
Kristinâs acknowledgment brought a smile to Estrellaâs face. âWhatâs going on?â Estrella asked.
Kristin sighed and said, âKeith was hospitalized last night. He wants to see you and apologize on behalf of the Nelson family.â
âTell Grandpa itâs not necessary. Besides, this is between Jason and me. We shouldnât involve the rest of you.â
âThe hurt youâve suffered because of Jason is our fault for not raising him right. Estrella, could you please visit Grandpa? He might not make it through the year,â Kristin pleaded. âBut donât worry, we wonât pressure you about anything with Jason. Weâll stay out of it and respect your wishes.â
With no room left to refuse, especially given her long-standing relationship with the 2/4 non Chapter 215 Nelsons, Estrella agreed to visit Keith.
Setting aside the complicated relationship between her and Jason, it was only right for her to visit Keith when he was ill.
Exhaling softly, Estrella said, âMom, Isaacâs still in the car. Iâll come by tomorrow, okay?â
âThatâs fine. Just drop by whenever youâre ready.â
After finalizing their plans, Estrella said goodbye to Kristin, and as she got back into the car, Isaac waved and said, âBye-bye, Grandma.
Kristin watched them drive away, feeling a bittersweet ache in her heart. How wonderful it would be if Isaac were her grandson..
It wasnât until Estrellaâs car vanished from view that Kristin got into her Porsche and drove away.
True to her word, Estrella visited Keith the following afternoon after work.
In the hospital room, when Keith saw Estrella, he kept apologizing. He said that the Nelson family didnât educate Jason well, leading her to suffer so much. He also mentioned that once he was discharged, he would personally come to apologize.
Estrella, listening to this, quickly interjected, âGrandpa, my mom doesnât know about this, and besides, itâs in the past. Thereâs no need to bring it up again.â
She knew her mother, Autumn, would go ballistic if she found out about that accident all those years ago. Estrella had made up her mind to leave Jason, and she didnât see the point in causing a big scene. Better to keep things quiet than to stir up more trouble and idle chatter.
Hearing Estrellaâs unfazed response, and realising theyâd only heard about the incident from Bryce, Keith sighed appreciatively, âEstrella, you really are the considerate one here Estrella chatted with Keith for a while. As she was about to say her goodbyes, Keith spok up, âEstrella, Jason feels terribly guilty about the child, and regarding your wish for a divorce, just give him some time to come to terms with it. Heâll see reason.â
Their families had been close for so many years, and Keith truly didnât want to see the bond shatter.
âI understand, Grandpa,â Estrella replied. At this point, there was no use arguing with Jason anymore. She would just wait for him to come around, which she felt was going to be soon.
Jason wasnât the kind of man who could let things slide or wear the cuckoldâs horns without protest.
Just as Estrella had finished her promise, the door to the hospital room swung open once 3/4 Chapter 215 more. She turned to look toward the entrance and saw Jason walking in..
