Chapter 246
30 Days till I Divorce My Husband (Estrella and Jason)
Chapter 246 Isaac struggled with all his might for several attempts, but Estrella remained as still as a statue, not budging an inch from Isaacâs embrace.
Looking down at Isaac, Jason couldnât help but chuckle. Seeing Isaac huffing and puffing from the effort, he said, âLet me handle this. Youâve got a good ten years before you can try again.â In ten years, Isaac might still not be able to lift his mom himself.
Unable to move Estrella, Isaac reluctantly stepped aside to let Jason take over. Watching Jason lift Estrella with ease, Isaac couldnât hide his envy.
Jason tiptoed to lay Estrella on the bed, and as he pulled the covers over her, he instinctively planted a kiss on her lips.
Isaac, standing beside Jason, was taken aback at the sight of Jason kissing Estrellaâs mouth. The next second, Isaacâs little arms shoved Jason forcefully to the side, forbidding him from touching Estrella again.
Isaac had sort of liked Jason before, and he was even considering letting Jason be his dad. But now this guy was trying to steal his mom, kissing his Estrella.
Isaac couldnât swallow this affront.
For a moment, Jason was dumbfounded. What triggered this sudden outburst? His hand resting on Isaacâs head, Jason asked, âIsaac, weâre all men here. If youâve got something to say, just spit it out.â
Despite Jasonâs words, Isaac was still seething, balling his little fists and pacing around the room in a huff.
Jason muttered to himself. Whose hot temper did this kid inherit? What kind of guy did Estrella find out there that they ended up with such a fiery little one?
Now, Jason was really seeing what Isaac was made of. On reflection, the kid was damn like Estrella.
Jason stared at Isaac, bewildered, slowly piecing together the clues. âYouâre mad because I shouldnât have kissed your mom?â
he ventured.
Isaac, finally seeing that Jason got the point, crossed his arms over his chest and nodded seriously, âHmm.â
Jason couldnât help but laugh. âKid, we need to talk. Sheâs my wife, and itâs legal for me to kiss her.â At this moment, Jason shamelessly took advantage of Isaacâs lack of understanding of the law and the fact that he didnât know they were divorced.
As Jason finished speaking, Isaac crossed his arms even tighter, the scowl on his face intensifying. Estrella was his, all his.
1/2 08-41 Chapter 246 Fuming at Jason, Isaac had made up his mind. He didnât want this dad anymore. He would find a new dad, one who wouldnât compete with him for Estrellaâs affection.
If Isaac knew that all dads needed their wifeâs love, he might swear off the idea of having a dad forever.
Isaacâs pouty demeanor amused Jason. How come the kidâs jealousy reminded him so much of himself? He never expected such a small person to be so fiercely jealous.
As their eyes met, Jason saw the hostility in Isaacâs gaze and said, âAlright, when you grow up, Iâll find you a girlfriend.â
After saying this, he turned to look at Estrella in the hospital bed, only to see Isaac dash over and cover her mouth, afraid Jason would kiss her again. Jason burst into laughter, feeling all the more that Isaacâs antics were just like his own.
After a good bit of commotion, and a promise from Jason not to steal any more kisses from Estrella, Isaac finally calmed down.
The next morning, when Estrella opened her eyes, the atmosphere in the hospital room. was tense. Isaac and Jason were each seated on a sofa, hostility and defiance still evident in Isaacâs eyes.
Estrella propped herself up in bed, too exhausted the night before to remember falling asleep. Luckily Isaac was here; who knows what might have happened otherwise.
But what was with Isaacâs look? Didnât he like Jason before, even wanting him for a dad?
And Jason, with that innocent face-what was that about?
Yawning, Estrella asked, bewildered, âWhat happened last night?â
Right now, Estrella was certain something serious had transpired between the two men after she had fallen asleep.
Isaac, arms crossed over his chest, turned to Jason and let out a defiant huff. After glancing at Isaac and then at Jason, Estrella inquired, âJason, my sonâs usually such a good-natured kid. What did you do to tick him off?â
Jason remained silent, and Isaac huffed even louder than before.
Jason turned to Estrella and said, âEstrella, why donât you ask your son what his deal is?â
When Estrella looked at Isaac, he pouted and huffed. Estrella translated, âHe said he wants to cut ties with you, never to cross paths again. And donât even think about playing dad anymore.â
Jason looked disgusted. âEstrella, he just huffed. Thatâs all.â He wasnât clueless; he just didnât get Isaacâs point. And the kid, how much could he really mean? It was probably 2/3 08:41 Chapter 246 Estrella stirring the pot.
Estrella got out of bed, embraced Isaac in her arms, and planted a kiss on his cheek, âSweetheart, whatâs wrong? Why are you so upset? Did something happen between you and him?â
Despite the issues between her and Jason, she wouldnât deliberately involve her child or teach Isaac to hate. She hoped her child would always be kind and only encounter kindness in the future.
Comforted by Estrella, Isaac wrapped his arms around her neck, his little face nuzzling against her shoulder, the picture of grievance. The sight was all too reminiscent of Jason. Estrella, holding him with one arm and soothing his back with the other, consoled him, âHoney, didnât you like Uncle Jason before? He even brought you that Lego set yesterday. Letâs talk about whatâs bothering you, okay? Donât keep it bottled up inside and hurt yourself.â
Estrellaâs soothing words seemed to work magic on Isaac. When Isaac lifted his gaze to Jason, the animosity that had once clouded Isaacâs eyes had dissipated, replaced by a newfound softness. Right after that, Isaac turned to look at Estrella. When his little hand pinched Estrellaâs mouth, Estrella instantly understood. She turned to Jason and said, âYou stole a kiss from me last night, didnât you?â
âIsaacâs got quite the jealous streak,â Estrella explained with a knowing smile. âHeâs so tight with Bryce, but a casual pat on my shoulder from Bryce is off-limits. And now, youâve gone and made an enemy of him for sure.â
With Estrellaâs words painting the picture, Jason found himself looking at Isaac and, much to his surprise, seeing a reflection of himself.
