Chapter 1001
Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies
Chapter 1001
"You know that the Lloyd Family didn't get this powerful from legal businesses, right? They have the
Lloyd Group now, but they started off doing illegal things that a normal person would not be able
to accept. Nigel was too gentle to be a part of it. In the end, he got into a fight with Cory and left
home.â
Ashlynn listened to Gavin as he listed all the dark history of the Lloyd Family in fear and once again
realized what a different world the Lloyds lived in.
She leaned against the wall helplessly.
âWhich is why you should stop investigating,â he said.
âI thought you were here to help me.â Ashlynn was not willing to give up as she would never be
content with being Salvatoreâs wife
âThe reason that I managed to stay in the Lloyd Group is that I know my place.â The real Corentin
had helped Gavin, but Gavin still needed to survive. Crossing the Lloyd Family could not end well for
him and he knew better than to act rashly.
Ashlynn did not force him to do anything as everyone had the right to their own choices. âThank
you for telling me these, or I would still be looking for the real Corentin .â
âIt's not easy to find people who died in Luton.â
âI know.â She nodded and was about to leave, before adding, âhow do I check if my phone has been
bugged?â
She could not keep borrowing phones from others and since Gavin worked in the Public Relations
Department, he might know something about technology.
âRemove the shell of your phone and if you don't find any external device on the surface, you just
need to do a factory reset on your phone,â he said.
âThank you.â She opened the door and left.
She had known all the answers to her questions and she could not stay any longer, or the driver
would sense that something was wrong.
As soon as she went outside, she spotted the driver in the cafe. âWhat? Did you think I escaped? You
don't have to keep an eye on me all the time!â She protested.
âI'm sorry, Ms. Thompson, but I will be punished if I let you escape.â The driver was not exceptionally
respectful, and turned to exit the cafe.
Her heart raced. One moment later and the driver might have found out what happened.
She sat down on her seat and finished her cup of coffee, before walking over to the counter to buy
coffee beans. â Which one of these are the most expensive?â
âThis Blue Mountain brand is the most expensive, but it has a smooth flavor and is artificially
cultivated,â the receptionist suggested.
âThis one, then.â Ashlynn purchased two packs of coffee beans, before heading to a pet store to buy
snacks for her dog and went home.
Inside the car, she stared dazedly out of the window and thought to herself, âSo that's how Salvatore
replaced Corentin.â
Cory wanted to use Salvatoreâs heart on Corentin, but he had underestimated how ruthless
Salvatore was.
Salvatore was never a man who would accept his death; though he was destined to die, Cory and
Corentin had accidentally given him a chance to survive.
She had always wondered how Salvatore managed to escape the death row, but now that he had
become the almighty Corentin Lloyd, no one else could touch a hair on him again.
According to Marco's investigation, the Lloyd Family had not ceased their illegal activities in the
dark completely and she could not help but wonder if the murder of the couple was in any way
related to Corentin.
Once she got out of the car, she headed to the dog house and carried her dog into the living room,
before handing the coffee beans in her hands to the butler. âThese are for Corentin.â
âSure. I will make coffee for Mr. Lloyd when he comes back.â
Ashlynn did not care and sat down on the couch to feed her dog, since the coffee bean was merely
a camouflage.
Her dog did not eat much, so she carried it back to her room after feeding it a small bag of snacks.
Once she was in her room, she removed the shell of her phone and when she did not find anything
suspicious, she reset her phone, before making a call to Anne. âAnne, are you busy? There's
something that I need to tell you.â
Anne was working in front of her desk at the time and said, âI'm free now. What's wrong?"
