Chapter 29

Mysteries Of Unknown Lovers.

The shrill ringing of her phone disturbed her calm movement.

Putting her book aside, she answered the phone with rolled eyes.

"Most people like to sleep at this time of the night." Without greeting him she straightforward complained.

She heard his chuckle from the other side of the phone. "I knew you were not sleeping."

He was holding his phone from one hand and the other hand was handling the steering wheel with a firm grip.

His answer annoyed her. "How can you tell that I was not sleeping?"

"If you have been sleeping, your phone would be switched off."

There was complete silence from her side.

"C'mon now, being your husband it was my duty to know every single habit of yours."

A wide smile was etched on his face.

She had to bit her lips to stop her smile.

Every feeling was new to her, Every moment spent with him was new to her.

His every touch was new to her.

From these past few days, she was on the height of ecstasy.

Zarrar Sikander showed through his actions and gestures that Inhal Omer mattered in this world.

That someone is there who cannot start his day without listening to her voice.

Someone is there to whom only Inhal Omer mattered.

"How was your flight?" She murmured and leaned against the headboard.

She knew he had a late-night flight and she was waiting for his call.

"It was fine, but one stubborn kid made my ears bleed."

Inhal laughed, and for Zarrar it was the most soothing voice.

"He must be a cranky kid."

"Trust me he was, his high pitched voice was booming in the flight deck."

He was driving peacefully while talking to his wife.

"He made the four-hour flight hell for me."

He shook his remembering the noisy kid.

"It means that you don't like children"

Inhal spoke in a whisper with skepticism.

Narrowing his eyes he spoke again. "It's not like that, I do love children but not the noisy ones."

"But that's the thing about children, they are noisy."

He smiled. "I can bet that our children won't be loud."

She stiffened for a second, her heart rate increased and she sat with a jerk on the bed.

"H-how can you tell that?" It was strange but she felt immensely good listening about their future and children from his mouth.

"I just know, my children will inherit their mother's calm and gentle genes."

Inhal laughed wholeheartedly at his statement.

"And what about you, what will they inherit from you?"

She asked him playfully.

"Maybe my patience, maybe my brain, maybe my height-"

He was cut off by her scoff.

"What? don't you agree with me?"

"I think we should not talk about who has not even been born yet."

Agreeing with her they both changed the topic of their conversation.

"Have you reached home?"

She again leaned against the headboard.

"I'm just two minutes away from your house."

Again with a jerk, she sat up.

"What do you mean you're here? you were supposed to go home instead of coming here." She hissed at him.

"From the past two days, I had back-to-back flights, I missed you, Honey."

"Don't you dare sweet talk me Zarrar, you and I both know the time is inappropriate."

"There is no such thing as the inappropriate time between a husband and wife, and come down I'm here."

Cutting her call he got out of the car and waited for her.

With lightning speed, she got up from the bed and saw her reflection in the mirror, her face was a blushing mess.

Combing her wild waves, she pulled the stubborn strands behind her ears, after warping a warm shawl around her, she came downstairs.

Opening the door, she saw him who was still in his uniform and was holding a red rose bouquet in his hand.

He closed the door behind him and hugged his wife whom he was missing dearly.

As soon as his strong arms wrapped around her timid body, he felt contented.

Kissing her hair softly, he gave her the bouquet.

"Happy two months Nikkah Anniversary!"

Inhal chuckled at him and shook her head, "there no such thing as a two-month-old Anniversary."

He pushed a thick strand of the hair behind her ear.

"But to me it is, and I don't give a damn what others think."

She fisted his white shirt in her hand and leaned against his chest.

"You're crazy."

"Only for you."

She shook her head and gazed into his eyes.

"Be ready at eight, I'm taking you to dinner."

She nodded her head and he again leaned in to give her a goodnight forehead kiss.

*****

He bought her to a terrific restaurant, the crystal chandeliers hanging off the ceiling were looking like twinkling stars which were enhancing the beauty of a blank sky.

They both were sitting beside the window, the full moon could be seen through it.

Dressed in a black flowy frock with her silver jhumkas, she was looking like a vision making Zarrar breathless.

Without asking her, he ordered for them claiming he knew her favorite.

They both were indulged in a light conversation when the waiter served them their food.

Seeing the seafood in front of her, Inhal's lips thinned and she felt like puking her guts out.

However, seeing the glint in her husband's eyes she just smiled at him.

"You love seafood don't you?" A full-blown smile etched on Zarrar's face.

He loaded her plate with garlic prawns and Inhal couldn't help but look at it with disgust.

"Who told you that I love seafood?"

Bitting the prawn and washing it down with the full glass of water she asked him.

"Ahmed told me." He took a bit of his smoked salmon and spoke.

She was nonplussed for a second because she knew that her cousin knows very well that she despises seafood from her heart.

She was confused!

The smell erupting from the seafood was making her nauseous.

"I like it, I think we'll come here often in the future." Grinning, he mumbled.

"Umm-Hmm." Biting her lips, she again gulped the water.

Taking the last morsels of her food painfully, she thanked her Lord that it was finally over but her stomach felt like bursting because of the amount of water she had intake.

Refusing to eat the dessert at the restaurant, he asked the waiter to pack it for them and they both left the restaurant.

As they were roaming the park hand in hand, Inhal felt dizzy, the food and water were trying to get out of her system.

"Are you okay?" He asked her worriedly.

"Just a headache, I just need some rest."

She lied.

With fearful eyes, he led her towards the car and drive her towards her house.

As soon as she stepped on the threshold of her house, placing a hand on her mouth, she ran towards her room.

Anxiously, Zarrar followed her.

Seeing her wife puking her guts out, his heart was completely shattered.

He firmly held her hair from behind and rubbed her back softly.

She vomited everything that she had eaten with her husband.

After sometimes when she was done, he made her stand and cleaned her whole face.

"C'mon let's go to the doctor, you're not well."

Zarrar was worried sick after seeing her condition.

"No, I'm fine, it was because of the seafood." Embarrassed, Inhal uttered  the cause of her condition.

"What do you mean?"

"I hate seafood." She leaned in and wrapped her hands around him.

He stiffens for a second then yelled loudly.

"Ahmed you bastard!"
