Chapter 311
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
âMom, are you keeping something from me?â
That night, Allison tossed and turned in her bed. Late into the night, she fell into a dream.
At a crossroads, Allison looked around, cars passing by like ghosts in a mist. She began to walk forward when suddenly, a car came speeding towards her. Her heart pounded in her chest as she tried to dodge it, but it was too late. It seemed the car would roll over her any second nowâ¦
The deafening sound of a car horn.
Allison shut her eyes tight in fear. However, the expected pain never came. Two seconds later, she opened her eyes to find the car had passed right through her, as if she were a transparent ghost.
So, this was just a dream.
Quickly, the scene changed. Allison found herself in the Flanagan familyâs backyard shed. A familiar voice echoed, âGrace, Iâm taking Christopher out this afternoon. We might be back late tonight, so you and Allison can eat dinner without us.â
âAlright,â came a female voice in response, a voice Allison knew too well-Graceâs voice *Be careful on the road, and come back earlyâ
As the mist in front of her cleared, Allison walked into the yard, watching as her mother and father said their goodbyes, and Grace helped her father into a suit. Then a teenage girl appeared, âDad, when are you coming back?â
Joshua laughed and said, âI will be back soon tonight, and Iâll bring something tasty for youâ
âThen you must hurry back, dad.â
Allison walked up to them. She looked at the girl, wasnât thatâ¦.
Wasnât that her younger self!
Suddenly, her eyes widened in shock. âDad, mom, donât leave! Dad, donât go, itâs dangerous therell Joshua gave Grace a hug, then turned to leave. Allison followed after him, trying to warn him of the danger, the impending car accident.
But, this was just a dream!
Joshua got into the car, and the car drove off The scene changed again. This time, it was a sharp bend in the road Allison recognized this place, it was where Joshua had had his accident.
She ran forward quickly, saw a car approaching from a distance. The license plate was the Flanaganâs, and Allison was terrified. She saw another truck speeding towards itâ
As the cars drew closer, she saw Adrian in the truck. And in the Flanagan family car, she saw Joshua, Ricky, and the driver-
The two cars collided at the bend, a car accident unfolding before Allison. She wanted to cry, she was in unbearable pain. She reached up to touch her face, but there were no tears.
Was this a dream, where she didnât even have the right to cry?
Allison woke up in a cold sweat. It was five in the morning. The window was half open, and a gentle breeze blowing in, stirring the milky white curtain, She sat up in bed, catching her breath.
That dream, it felt too real. She had witnessed her father and brother die in a car accident.
Unable to fall back asleep, Allison got up, drank some water, and headed to the bathroom for a shower.
With her eyes closed, she felt the water flow down her cheeks. Suddenly, she remembered Graceâs diary.
Grace had written in her diary. It was revenge that promted her father to take her brother away.
In Allisonâs memory, Joshua had indeed left alone that day, he hadnât mentioned taking her brother with him. According to her mother, her father had done this on purpose.
But why? Did her father know in advance that there would be an accident?
That didnât make sense, Joshua didnât have the ability to predict the future. And even if he had sensed danger, he would never have risked his sonâs life like that.
