Chapter 319
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
The guy paused, his eyes flickering under the brim of his baseball cap. His fingers slowly clenched and then relaxed, his back stiff but he didnât look back. âSorry, miss. Youâve got the wrong guyâ He said.
With that, he strode forward to a black Bentley and got in.
Payton tried to catch up, but was stopped by two bodyguards. One grabbed her arm, the other held her shoulder. Payton gritted her teeth and said, â1 didnât mistake you, Arthur! Itâs you! Iâm Payton, donât you remember me? Iâm Payton!â
Powerlessly, Payton watched the black Bentley start up in front of her. She gritted her teeth in frustration, then forcefully broke free from the bodyguards. She ran to the car, and pounded on the window.
âArthur, Arthur!â Payton yelled, âArthur, open the door! I know youâre in there! I didnât mistake you! Iâm Payton, you said youâd come back and marry me! Iâve been waiting for you!â
Inside the car The man looked at the figure outside the window, the familiar face. He suppressed the pain in his chest, lightly closed his lips, and said to the driver. âLetâs go.â
The car slowly started, with Payton chasing behind. The driver hesitated. That lady is still chasingâ¦â
Arthur looked in the rearview mirror, at the blurry yet familiar face and the determined eyes. It felt like his heart was being heavily hit, then he hoarsely said, âDrive faster.â
The driver stepped on the gas, and the car left the parking lot.
Payton could no longer keep up, she stopped running and fell to the ground, panting heavily. Sheâd been working here for four months just to find him.
She had heard a rumor that he might be here. Sheâd been looking for the opportunity and finally heard that there was a mysterious boss whose style was very much like his Finally today, he came to the Red Jack Club.
Just a back view, a side profile, but she could confirm that he was Arthur.
He was still alive. He was back But he seemed to no longer recognize her, had forgotten her and their promise. Payton covered her face and couldnât help but start crying.
Two bodyguards came over, looking at Payton crying on the ground. They were a bit at a loss and said, âDonât cry, itâs not safe here with cars coming and going, get up.â
âYeah, stop crying. We didnât do anything to you. Why do you just suddenly sat down and started crying?â
Seeing her in a waitress uniform, the two bodyguards looked at each other, then helplessly got in their car and left.
Allison, having finished her work, went to Sarahâs office.
Sarah was on the phone, apparently not caring who was on the other end. âUh-huh, okay, I got it. Okay, okayâ
She glanced at Allison standing at the door, signaling her to sit down.
Allison sat down on the couch, waiting for about half a minute before Sarah ended the call and came over, handing her a cup of water, âHave you pissed off anyone lately?â
Allison took a sip of water, looking at Sarah, âReally? Recently⦠She couldnât remember pissing off anyone.
âWere you a maid for the Flanagan family?â Sarah asked.
âYou could say that, my mother was the Flanaganâs housekeeper. I grew up in the Flanagan family.â
Allison was puzzled. âSarah, whatâs up?â
Sarah warned, âBe extra careful lately, itâs always good to be cautious. Leah found me, and she wants me to fire you.â
Allisonâs hand gripping the cup tightened. Leah found Sarah, wanting to fire her?
