Chapter 28 - New Year

We were already inside of Alex's friend's club and he was right, the building wasn't quite far from the opera house but, the opera house itself looked kinda far from there which made me frowned when i saw it. But I couldn't do anything except following wherever he goes.

When we got into the club he introduced me to so many of his friends until he had fun then I didn't know where he was. I was sitting on the sofa with a drink on the table and Makaila was there next to me, she was busy taking a picture from her seat. She looked so chill and kinda enjoyed it,

"Do you want to see your picture?" She asked me before showing me her camera.

"Of course" i said then she gave me her camera.

The picture that she took were all amazing, the pictures of Alex and i were all amazing. I told her to send me the picture so we exchanged our number to text her my email address, she looked so happy when i told her that.

"You are very talented" i said while looking through her camera.

"Thank you queen" she said then i laughed.

"I never left my house without a camera since i was 15" she said.

"That is very cool, i never left my house without my earphone sounds not so talented" i said before fake smiling by my own.

"What? No no you're so talented i was surprised when Alex date you you know i mean i knew him since we were uhm 18?" She said then i laughed.

"Alex told me" i laughed.

"Cannot believe that he finally be consistent with one girl that is amazing" she sounded like she didn't believe it, well yeah she shouldn't.

My eyes finally looked up then found Alex was sitting with a girl at the bar, I believe it was Tiana one of the girls from our group. She was smiling while they were laughing together, i kinda felt uh you know I don't know.

"What?" Makaila asked me then she looked into the same direction.

"Tiana, i never like her" she said.

"She's just the girl that had been following us since the last 3 years she's annoying" she said then i laughed.

Well Alex can do whatever he wants as long as the media didn't found out what he did, i was nothing to him so I thought i couldn't be jealous or something. But the fact about what he did this morning made me felt jealous of him being with another woman,

"Anyway Makaila, you're very talented i think I should introduce you to my photographer friends or any vendors that maybe can help you with your beautiful talent" i said to him.

"What?" She looked surprised.

"I'm sure they'll love your work" i said.

"I didn't mean to take an advantage from you cause you're a model okayy" she said.

"Of course not i know" I laughed.

"You know what? You're a lovely girl" she said then i smiled shyly.

"Alex is so lucky" she said.

"How about you any guy you dated?" I asked her.

"No one, just broke up a few months ago" she said then my eyes were so sensitive with Alex's movements cause Tiana started to pull him into the dance floor.

"I had a worst break up too a few months ago" i said to her.

"Yeah Harvey right? I know him he's a total jerk" she said then my eyes finally back at Makaila.

"The guys and i are a party people we used to go on their after party cause one of the football player members is our friend and you know Harvey always had a different girls in every different party" she said before sipping on a drink, i looked at her in disbelief so what Alex had told me was true.

"So what Alex had told me is true" i said to her.

"Uhuh, i knew he was with you at that time i mean I'm a girl and a photographer who loves fashion so i kinda follow every model's life like you" she said then i nodded.

"And he's dating Stacy Brawn now" i said.

"Uh Yeahh!! Stacy Brawn isn't she supposed to be your best friend?" She asked me.

"Yeah she was, well we're just a formal friends now" i said to her.

"She's so pretty but i mean i mean you are prettier than her" she said then it made me laugh.

My eyes once glanced into Alex who was dancing with Tiana on the dance floor, Tiana had her arm around Alex's shoulder while they looked like they were having a lot of fun.

"Believe me Harvey still do the cheating thing cause it is like his behavior, karma is a bitch bell Both of them are going to receive it sooner or later" Makaila said then i smiled.

I already loved this girl since the start, it seemed like we were going to be a good friend. Besides she is so kind and friendly, she knows Alex so well and now she knows me.

I could hold my emotions anymore to see Alex having a lot of fun with another girl while i was there and for what he had done to me that morning, i felt like he was taking an advantage on me.

"Makaila" i said to her and she was looking at the same direction as well.

"If Alex looking for me just tell him maybe i take a walk on the street okay" i said to her.

"Where are you going girl?" She asked me.

"Nothing it's just so annoying" i said before getting up from the seat.

I walked into the elevator alone while holding on my clutch cause i felt so disappointed and him for doing such as thing that somehow made me felt like a toy.

"Alex you idiot!" I heard Makaila's voice behind me.

I reached the ground floor then i walked out the elevator then went straight into the lobby by myself. I saw Glenn but I ignored him,

"Miss Clark where are you going?" He asked me.

"Somewhere Glenn" i said then kept going.

I walked out of the lobby then walked straight onto the street by myself and i felt so dumb to wear a heels that night. Well the opera house wasn't so far enough so i thought it was all fine for me to take a little walk then enjoy new year by myself while Alex was having fun with another girl after taking an advantage of me.

I was angry at him but being me, my anger always turned into a tears. I wished no one was going to recognize that Bella Clark was walking alone in the street crying at New year's eve.

"Bell!" I heard someone was calling for my name and i knew it was clearly his voice.

It was low and husky but he was trying to catch his breath while i kept walking and walking didn't want him to know that I cried because of him. I still didn't want him to know that i cried, he preferred professionalism it means that i was the one who didn't. I included feeling in our supposed to be our woking project,

"Bella please stop walking" he said until he finally grabbed me by my wrist.

He turned me around then I finally face him, his eyes were looking at mine before i looked away to brush my tears away.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't cry and I should've been professional but" i said but i stopped.

"But what?" He asked me while his arm were wrapped around my waist.

"I think you took an advantage of me while i" i said then stopped again cause i wasn't brave enough to tell him.

His thumb was brushing on my cheek while his eyes were trying o read my emotions,

"I fell in love with you" i said.

He didn't say anything but just kept looking at me in disbelief,

"I love you" he said broking the silent.

"You had me since the first time you walked into my office room that night" he said then i looked up at him in disbelief.

"I'm sorry" he said.

"I didn't do that in purpose this morning, it's all because i love you and I didn't know how to express it" he said.

I wrapped my hand around his neck then pulled him into a hug while his arms were wrapped around my waist. I felt comfort when i was in his arm and i felt so lucky that i he finally told me about how he actually felt.

"Lets just spend new year's eve at the place that you want okay" he said while putting his arm around my shoulder.

We continued to walk down the street until we reached the place where people were waiting for the fireworks and new year. We were walking next to one another with his arm never left my shoulder,

"Alex I'm" i said but then again I stopped.

"Alex why did you act so cold towards me if you have a feelings for me?" I asked him.

"It's because I didn't want to accept those feelings, I couldn't let myself to fall for you I didn't know why" he said.

"I'm sorry for what I've done to you" he said.

"No the last few months been a great adventure" i said to him.

"It's 5 minutes to new year" he said then i smiled after we stopped right in front of the view of the opera house.

I put my arm on his waist while he had his on my shoulder, i felt so happy that time I finally knew his feelings for me and he finally know how I felt about him.

"I'm so happy right now" i said to him.

"Cannot believe i just told you the truth" he said.

"Oh my god they're counting down the time" i said as everyone started to counting down.

He leaned closer before our lips connected, just like the fireworks fly to lighten up the sydney skies. I felt a spark between us while he was kissing me, that one was so pure and slow it was amazing.

"Happy new year bell" he whispered at me before pulling me into a hug.

"Happy new year" I whispered while hugging him.

"Will you be my girlfriend Isabella Clark?" He whispered on my ear.

I was surprised so i pulled away from the hug to look at his hazel brown eyes which was waiting for my answer,

"Yess i will" i said before he kissed me once again, he pulled me into a hug before kissing my head.

"I love you Isabella Clark"

"I love you too Alexander Adams"
