153. The Visit

When Qi Le’an walked out of the western restaurant, he only felt sorry for the braised meat that cost him 137.5 yuan.

He searched online with his phone and found that the drama shot in Haitian Square was called “A Hundred and Ten Streaks of Starlight”, which was an urban romantic drama. Li Zheyu was not an actor in it. The starring player was Hu Bin, whom he hadn’t contacted since a long time ago.

Wei Changfeng was sent back by Gary around nine o’clock in the evening. He looked quite spirited and also brought a takeout for Qi Le’an. Qi Le’an ate something random for lunch. Now, he was hungry indeed. While holding the plate and eating, he watched Wei Changfeng changing clothes.

“What did you eat for lunch?” Wei Changfeng asked in confusion.

“I just ate something in the fridge casually.” Qi Le’an felt that he was doomed.

Wei Changfeng shook his head and smiled. “Don’t worry. I won’t. I just have very little time to spend with you in the daytime.”

Qi Le’an felt it was great and meanwhile he kind of acknowledged Gu Ying’s ability.

Wei Changfeng changed the topic to eating again, “What do you want to eat tomorrow? I’ll prepare it for you.”

How could Qi Le’an let Wei Sama, who had worked for a whole day, cook for him late at night? He immediately said, “I’ll order takeouts or go out to eat. Oh yes, I can go to Brother Chen’s home to eat! Also, I can play with the baby girl!”

Qi Le’an slept until almost eleven o’clock before he got up. When he went downstairs, he saw the note attached to the table. He took a photo of it and sent it to Wei Changfeng with a smiling face.

Wei Changfeng replied with an emoji that was rubbing its head and said that he would come back later. Meanwhile, he also asked Qi Le’an to dine out for supper.

Qi Le’an ate the prepared lunch as the brunch. Wei Changfeng only made some fried rice but he ate it with an appetite. After eating, he sent a message to Gu Ying.

“I’m free today. Is an afternoon’s time enough?”

Gu Ying quickly texted back. “Yeah, I will arrive at your gate in 20 minutes.”

Qi Le’an didn’t want to ask him how Gu Ying knew his address. He went upstairs to take out his precious case, in which there were various little gifts sent by Wei Changfeng and a set of small earrings that matched with Wei Changfeng’s birthday present. He looked at the things and then took out the photo at the bottom.

It was a photo of his parents.

He looked at it for a long time, sighed, and then put the things back in the bottom of the box before going to change his clothes.

Twenty minutes later, Gu Ying came to the gate on time. Qi Le’an looked at the ostentatious off-road vehicle and asked, “It won’t be far away, right?”

Gu Ying shook his head and said, “It’s very close. I will send you back before Wei Changfeng comes back.”

Qi Le’an nodded and got into Gu Ying’s car.
