When Xia Ning drove to Jin Yan’s place, she saw Li Man the second she went in.

She looked a bit awkward. She darted a look at Jin Yan and then to Li Man. “Will I disturb you?”

“No way!” Li Man said with a smile. “It’s boring if it’s just the two of us. It’s more fun to have one more person. Plus, we’re working on the same movie this time so we need communication.”

Xia Ning smiled at her and walked in.

Jin Yan saw the fruits and vegetables in her hand and smiled slightly. “What’s there? It’s heavy. If you need anything, I can ask someone to buy them.”

“Didn’t I come here for a meal? I can’t come empty-handed.” Xia Ning passed the bag in her hand to Jin Yan. “Otherwise, you won’t let me eat anymore.”

“Since when did I not allow you to eat?” Jin Yan chuckled. “But this saved me the trouble. What do you want?”

Li Man saw the two joking around and said suddenly, “Xia Ning, what do you want to drink? I can get you some!”

“No coffee!” Jin Yan said first.

Xia Ning pressed her lips together and raised her eyebrows. “Then juice.”

“Sure!” Li Man nodded and darted a look at Jin Yan. She then turned around and went into the kitchen.

Xia Ning walked to the couch and put down her bag. She said to Jin Yan, “Jin Yan, do you need my help?”

“No need,” Jin Yan said with a smile. “Sit down first. We’ll go over the script after dinner.”

“Sure.” Xia Ning nodded.

Just at this time, Li Man came with juice. She said to Xia Ning, “A freshly-made juice should taste good.”

“Thank you.” Xia Ning took it.

Li Man nodded. “You’re welcome.” As she spoke, she picked up the remote control and turned on the TV. It happened to be showing “Shengshi Weiyang” played by Xia Ning.

“This show is very popular. It had seven billion views online in the last episode. It broke the record.” Li Man looked at Xia Ning and said, “I watch it too. You did a good job.”

“Thanks for the praise.” Xia Ning nodded.

“I heard you have a Master’s from Cambridge. Why did you choose to be in the acting field?” Li Man looked at Xia Ning with curiosity.

Xia Ning thought for a second and said, “My mother is an actress and my father does work related to acting. I’ve been exposed to it since young and wanted to try it once I grew up.”

Li Man looked at Xia Ning and said with a smile, “But your casual try made many people lose opportunities. A genius is indeed a genius. You are a leader in every field.”

Hearing this, Xia Ning’s eyes flashed. She took a sip of the juice and did not speak.

Li Man looked at Xia Ning and continued, “It is said that ‘The City of Desperation’ will be hosted by the Golden Monkey Award. With a big director like Director Zeng, the title of Movie Queen will be yours. Your ‘Shengshi Weiyang’ will definitely get an award this year. I’m so envious of you.”

I don’t think I have any of them.” Xia Ning put down the glass and looked at Li Man. “However, Miss Li’s ‘Black War’ has a good reputation. You are also attending the Golden Monkey Awards this time.
