Chapter 33
The Love From Vengeance
33 A TIME FOR DISSES ARIELâS POV I stood outside the hospital alongside Jack, and we were both waiting for Luke. I didnât even know where the idiot ran off to; the clothes I bought for Andre were in his car.
âYour boss is really stupid, you know,â I said to Jack. âI believe youâve noticed that so many times.â
âCome on, Miss Clinton, you need to e more respectful.â
âOh, please, donât act so innocent. You definitely know what Iâm talking about. So go ahead, feel free to insult him as much as you want; I wonât say anything.â
Jack just kept his serious face on, standing like a statue. I took out my phone and saw a text from Mason. He was asking me where I was, which was really aggravating. I was not his girlfriend for crying out loud.
â
We continued to wait until, finally, Lukeâs car arrived. He wasnât the only one who was inside. There was this blonde who happened to be a nurse. I had seen her at the time I first stepped foot inside the hospital. I wondered where both of them were coming from.
The nurse left his car and towards the building. As for Luke, he still sat inside. I glanced at Jack, and he was still making his serious face. I turned my gaze to Luke once again, and he was still in his car, doing what only God knows. These men were unbelievable. It and he was still in his car, doing what only G seemed like that big head had forgotten what I told him on the phone earlier.
I stood still, trying to see if Luke was going to walk to us. But no, he was still settling down in his car, and I forgot to mention that he had sunglasses on.
âMiss Clinton, I thought you were waiting for him,â Jack told me.
âOh, shut up!â I threw him an unserious face before traipsing to Luke. I knocked on the door of his car, and then he took the window down.
âCan I please have my stuff?â I stretched my hands over to him.
Luke took his sunglasses off his eyes. âWhat stuff?â
âThe bag of clothes I placed in your car before I went to the hospital.â I had to explain it to him.
âSorry, but I canât see any bags here,â he said, looking all around his car.
My eyes widened at that very moment. âAre you serious?â
âDo I look like Iâm joking?â
âHold on a minute, let me check.â I wanted to open the car door, but it was locked. I looked at Luke right away and gestured towards the door.
He shook his head, indicating a no, and he began to make a phone call. I could tell he was lying when he said he couldnât see those clothes in his car. This man was really getting on my nerve.
âLuke!â Someone shouted, and when I turned around, I saw his goodâforânothing girlfriend, Harriet.
âLuke!â She yelled again, but the goofball didnât give her his attention. I couldnât help but business anyway. have the feeling that they had a fight. But it was not my Harriet finally got closer; she glared at me, but I quickly turned my face away to avoid any nonsense.
She moved her face closer to Luke, who was still in his car.
âYou havenât been answering my calls, nor have you been replying to my messages. going on?â She questioned him. But he acted like he wasnât the one she was talking to.
Whatâs âLuke, Iâm talking to you!â Harriet interesting. âLuke, talk to me!â She wanted to hold his shoulder, but he pushed her hand away. Harriet looked frustrated and was about to cry. Should I feel sorry for her?
bed it loudly, and he still didnât reply to her. This was âYou!â she turned to me with a bitter tone.
you say to him?â
I looked around, pretending like I was trying to see who she was talking to, although I knew it was me.
âIâm talking to you, idiot!â Harriet snarled, seizing my arm and making me look at her.
âLet go of me!â 1 bawled and forcefully tugged my arm off her hand. âWhy are you dragging me into this?â
âYou viper! I know youâve filled Lukeâs head with poison.â
I chuckled, taking my eyes off her. âOh please.â
âWhy are you just ruining peopleâs lives, huh?â
âRuining peopleâs lives?â I gave her an incredulous look. Am I the one who wrecked your father?â
âDonât you dare drag my father into this!â
âAnd donât you dare say false things about me!â I came back. âIâm not the reason for your man ignoring you.â
âI can just choke you to death right now.â
âOh, shut up,â I told her in disbelief. âYouâre the one who needs to be choked to death, since your manâs ignoring your lame ass. But donât worry, you can go ahead and hang yourself.â
âLook here, Ariel.â Harriet stirred again. âI do not like you one bit.â
âYou think I donât hate you too?â I gave her a false grin. âLike, Iâd rather eat dog poop than be friends with you.
She chuckled. âArenât you just stupid?â
21 A TIME FOR DISSER âNot as stupid as your mom.â
âIâve told you this; do not drag my parents into this!â
âWell, you only told me not to drag your father into this. Nothing about your mother, soâ¦â I shrugged.
âJust shut up your ugly trash!â
âAwwn, thank you; I really, really appreciate that,â I said sarcastically, âYou are a beautiful lady; there is no doubt about that. But I think youâll look more beautiful when youâre lying in your coffin with your eyes closed.â
âAre you the one whoâs going to kill me?â
âWhy Would I want to kill something thatâs already dead?â
âOkay, will the both of you just please stop it?â Luke chimed in with a shout, causing the both of us to look at him. âEnough already. Iâm sick and tired of you two behaving like children.â
âThen you should have just driven away,â I fired at him.
âOr maybe I should have hit you with my car,â he retorted. He looked at Harriet promptly. â And as for you, I donât want to ever see your face again. Itâs over between us.â
âItâs over? But why?â Harrietâs hard expression changed.
âTake a look at this.â Luke handed his phone over to her. With her gaze fixed on the phone, she couldnât believe her eyes.
âCare to explain?â Luke glared at Harriet; she was speechless. âJust as I thought.â Luke then turned to his car. But Harriet quickly sized his shirt.
âLuke, please, please donât do this to me.â Harriet pleaded. âPlease donât end our relationship. Iâll do anything, anything you tell me.â
TAE FOR OVE âYouâll do anything, right?â Luke raised his eyebrows, and Harriet nodded, âThen get out of here.â
âI canât leave Luke. I love you.â
âYou donât love me, Harriet; stop saying that!â Luke barked immediately. âYou are nothing but a liar, and Iâm glad Iâm ending things with you. Itâs over, Harriet; I want nothing to do with you any more.â
This drama was quite interesting, but I needed to get the clothes I bought for Andre.
I moved closer to Lukeâs car and was about to see if I could open it. But he quickly grabbed me neck. and pulled me very close to him, wrapping his arm around my He took his eyes off Harriet and looked at me, smiling. âThis is my woman now.â
